Yes, as I said it is a tool in the box (selected based on METT) for the Scout-Snipers at the moment, but the M14 DMR's are very high maintenance and the Marines were looking to replace them. Right now the M14s seem to be mainly used by MP SRT marksman observers, and designated marksmen in Security Forces companies (including FAST) and MSG detachments, but the Mk-11 may eventually get to them, too.Liquid_Cow wrote:Eddie, I'm pretty sure the Mk11 is not used as a DMR in the USMC (perhaps the Army), it was produced with the intention of being an urban replacement for the M-40 (and as such is every bit as accurate).
