Anyhow it’s fine that you modeled the VN3, guess I can always model a USS Nimitz.
try and model the
Varyag so the USMC can be the ones defending an island for once.

Thanks Sicario, finally figured out what the planar button does now
Before I was lining everything up manually and lost a lot of hair in the process.

I would say it needs more detail, looks like you can still shove a load more polies onto it.
Also the last pic, on the right back side it seems you have same faces that are stressed, for lack of a better word i forget the real word for it.
remove them and redo them normally is the best way to fix them.

Great work! What's the tri/poly count?

The wheels seem a little big too. Might want to make them a little smaller, but just a bit. I agree with Rhino, when compared to say the up-armored HMMWV this thing is bare(as it should be) so it seems to me you can add any little detail you want and not go over the limit.

Thanks for the feedback guys

I'll get on it right away.
Does anyone know what would be a good Poly/Tri count?

Umm.. that's actually a good vehicle for me to model. Yea, think I'll model the AAV.
Also PRC_Heavy_Z your model is coming along well, but I'm not too sure about the wheels as the diameter of your rim seems a tad bigger than the real thing.

What's the tri count at now? And can we see a wiremesh? Also, I think the rough limit is somewhere around 5500 for things like HMMVs, Vodniks .. etc.

Update: Tweaked a lot of things (wheels/rims, wheel well, vehicle surfaces) and added details... 3ds was not cooperating so couldn't add certain details, which is rather frustrating.
Currently the Poly count sits at ~5192, need to clean up the model. Does anyone know how to show the poly/tri count automatically?
Next, modeling the interior...
BTW, did anyone notice the Teapot primitive on 3ds?

I bet no one has ever used it in their model so I'm going to be the first one to use it.
Behold:

VN3 - Field Hydration Variant
EDIT: As I look back, the wheels still don't look right. Tweaking them now

WOW! Nice man, bring on the crows! so what if this and the vodnik are heavier than the HMMWV, I wanna see a Mk19 and a bushmaster on a HMMWV now!
Nice model and I like the firefighter version
Oh yeah, could we get maybe an RCon designation for this man?

Yep, i definitely think the wheels are much better now. Only thing i can say is that the hinges you have need to be bigger according to the pics, other than that i think ts good to go.
Nice work, NOW SOMEONE UV/SKIN/IMPORT IT!!

I'm working on it right now
In your opinion, what would be a decent poly-count for the entire model?
I've no idea what number to aim for since this is my first model.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
