It's happening again

Last time this was happening was 10days ago, seems like the problem has come back. anyone else getting the same problem?

Its happening to me about every three rounds and is getting to be a major pain in the arse!!!

yeap every 3 rounds or so for me....

its annoying, hopefully it gets sorted by EA... wonder if its happening with 2142 as well?

Today it happend every round so im ....

For about 9 or 10 months now my game has taken several minutes to connect to the login server. This occurs every time I start up BF2, regardless of any mods being active or not. At times it also states my password (which is saved) is incorrect, so I need to delete and retype it.

I haven't played BF2 for a couple months, but since I came back about a week ago I have been booted very often, pretty much 7/10 times a round ends and about 3/10 times at random during a round. Each time I am booted it brings me back to the login screen.

I am assuming this is EA's way of saying "Stop playing BF2, go buy BF2142!"

If that's the case, I might take a road trip to see the CEO of EA...broomstick and KY at the ready.

Yeah exactly! They reduced the amount of servers that managed the logins and the masterservers

All to spare money and get us to bug 2142

it happens to me from time to time...for me its that much of a big deal...i just log back in

yeh but then it's hard to get back:

into the server you were playing on
onto the same team you were on
into the same squad you were on before you get logged out

Which just screws up the whole round up for you and the gameplay

Its happening with all of the games that GameSpy supports. Haven't managed to find any news about them addressing the issue but by the way their forums are looking they definitely know.

happed when I press 'escape' to change settings, but then it stopped doing it.

yeah this happens every time a map ends, could launching PR with pr.exe solve it? if so how do you do that
