Eggman put up a recruitment post on the bfeditor forums. I tried out the mod, applied, and stayed around.

BF2s had a section on Project Reality, so I thought it'd be a welcome change from vanilla. A true British army also caught my eye.

I really cant remember.............maybe it was the PROJECT REALITY text that god me into it........possibly...

Im frustrated nowdays, cause when a good combat FPS comes out its so arcadey and not real damage and similar stuff...like crysis(u need a big ammo suspender to kill people)...

I got it from a buddy that was a stat-whore.

i tried a lot of mods and i stoped on the most popular!

Some old gamemates who I often played with on Splinter Cell versus directed me to a new mod they were making, project stealth, at moddb.com, when I browsed at that site ( never knew of it ) I came across this mod. My eyes went shiney, water pouring out of my mouth I was like a little happy puppy seeing realism can be made in-game afterall. So a few weeks later I bought Bf2 for a rip off price and went playing!

typed in bf2 on youtube and saw the 0.5 promo video and i fell in love

I was playing Battlefield 2, when I guess I heard some people talking about some strange new concept called "bf2 mods" so, I went on youtube, searched "bf2 mods" and it came up with some Airmaps mod, and Battlepaint. I clicked on Airmaps, watched it, wasn't really impressed. I then saw a link to "Project Reality: BF2 Mod" on the related videos, and it was the PR 0.5 promo. I fell in love with it. I downloaded, installed, joined a game... crash. I waited until 0.7 (was using 0.613) and it still crashed. I heard great things about, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, and opened a game of Kashan Desert on I think... TCombat, maybe? Anyway, I had a great time. I sucked, but it was fun.

I got it back in the day when I would cruise totalbf2.com for mods and stuff. I found the Project Reality Mini Mod and would spend hours double tapping bots with the grenadier M16 on Sharqi Peninsula, and attempting to fly the Little Bird on Mashtuur City. I have downloaded pretty much every version since.

A clan mate convinced me to download it a couple of days after the mini-mod was first released. Back when 10 players on a server was a lot. Back when people still asked "How come I don't have any crosshairs?"

Saw the QBZ95 on the 0.5 release and thought this western mod might actually focus on the MEC and PLA faction.
