didnt patch, but just read the site news, and the fix is close it seems!

so maybe patch in the next few days.

I patched, and by the time I came in here and saw the thread about it being screwy it was too late!

I literally read the thread about the problems 5 mins after I installed the patch.
Oh well, it looks like the fix will be out soon, only a few more days without PRMM, although that's tough enough.

Eagerly waiting. Just too hard to go back to vanilla. I left to play AA for several months and now it's PRMM that keeps me warm. I just hate the ballistics and unreal damage done in BF2. I also can't stand the sheep to the slaughter thing since you respawn so quickly. People just rush in not caring if they die, not so in PRMM.

The changes are noticable but also feel pretty half-assed. You can still dive to the floor in an instant while spraying with no effect on your accuracy.
But to me, its still the players that make the game suck the most overall. I'm REALLY missing the teamwork aspect of PRMM

I had downloaded that leaked 1.12 patch the day before 1.2 came out (oops) and messed around with it in Single Player and the proning was definitely slower than in the final 1.2. Also, you couldn't jump and hit prone, only prone from standing/crouching.

I did both.
Just to make sure PRMM still works I copied my BF2 Folder and renamed it.
Then I installed the patch over the other one.
So if want to play PRMM I use the unpatched one and if I want to play Vanilla(which I don't do very often anymore) I use the other Folder.

Nope, you can still jump/prone, you just can't do it over and over.
There really are quite a few issues with the patch. There's something wierd causing a distance reading on your 3d map UNDER the center of the map!
Some of the video cards that worked before, but weren't supported now don't work.
You can't demo mines or claymores? Makes no sense to me. Shoot an AT mine with a tank's main gun, it should explode. Toss a grenade next to a claymore, it should go boom.
AT missiles are "misfiring." I had it happen yesterday 3 out of 5 tries in one sitting. You'll fire. You'll hear the sound. You'll see the missile go whooshing off with a smoke trail... It won't track to your guidance, and it won't impact. Your tube is still loaded. Joke's on you!
Grenade throws now look like a major-league outfielder throwing a baseball to home plate.

Aye, the biggest problem of 1.2 patch....
But besides that after patch BF 1.2 looks like it should be released... 1.0x was beta?

The AT missles are completely useless now. I noticed that every time I shot a Tank or APC with them, they went right through. So me and 2 buddies set up a test, and found that 6 out of every 10 missles will go through the vehicle you are shooting at. That means when you fire off that missle, you only have a 40% chance of hitting your mark.
You would think the "beta testers" for 1.2 would have caught this, but alas, if it's from DICE, you know it's not NICE. These morons tested the patch for 3 weeks, and somehow the sound bugs, no weapon sounds, AA bugs, AT bugs, animation problems, and noob-tube problems still got past them. Can you say BS?

why, in reality you even cant see the mines and you dont shoot just with your gun that they explode

Oh snaps, I thought I was just doing poorly, but yeah I noticed the same thing, the missile would pass right through the APC/tank/whatever model instead of making an impact. F'ing pisspoor patch for sure, huge new bugs being found everyday...

Yeah, I see that too! A random distance marker about 250m or so underground, sometimes red, sometimes blue.

Yeah, I saw that. Was thinking it was some kind of MEC uber-missile silo deep underground. Glad its not just me.
