Would you rather see like 3 new maps of 1 nice looking Lynx? Devs have better things to be working on then finishing a scout heli that will be on barely any maps.

but the version where the brits are complete will be 1.0 and since the next version is 0.8 and we do not know if there will be a 0.9 that can take some time (i also thing that 1.0 will contain a new L86

yeah, but Soucy was asking me whether i would prefer to see 3 new maps, or a Lynx in-game, and thats why i said i would rather they are complete, i mean at least atm we actually have an L86, its better than nothing...

I agree with TheScot. The British should have their faction completed then the Dev's could work on more maps that could have the Lynx incorporated in it. Also there are maps already were the British need a light transport helo e.g.
Al B were a fast and agile Lynx is much better than the RPG magnet Merlin

Btw, not saying to the DEVs their maps go unappreciated, its just if i had to choose...

I don't think it's as simple as that though (I'm no dev though). Considering that mapping and modeling are separate specialties, I'm sure if the modelers were all freed up, you could have those 3 new maps and a new helicopter. But I'm sure other things have a higher priority when it comes to things needed to be modeled, skinned, UV wrapped, coded etc.

And in many ways (IMO) no faction is truly done (or will ever be). The Brits currently have small arms, armor and air assets just like the other conventional factions in game, which makes them a both playable and flexible faction. Meaning that they can be included in just about any type of map at the moment. I don't think the lack of a single helicopter makes them "unfinished". Because if you looked at it that way, you could say the USMC isn't done because we don't have an AAV yet, or the Chinese isn't done because we don't have the WZ-9.

Lynx would only be a scout class heli anyway I think? It'll be nice to see but I dont see that it'll influence maps a great deal beyond what the merlin can do

that was the original plan thou there is not really a part when you can really say the britis are "done". Providing PR is still going there is always things we could make for them which is not ingame, new boats, other types of weapons, jets, choppers, land vehicles etc. You can never really call them done.

So Rhino we could have a PR 1.1 release?

there is no reason why we could not release a v1.1 release...

So Rhino has there been any new pictures or any more work done on the Lynx since its last news post?

i can see it working more like the Huey,

with the lynx done, the UK could have carrier maps with the harrier previding support.

Merlin fills the transport chopper role for British forces at the moment. The Lynx i think is there equal to the MH-6 Littlebird and if armed AH-6 LittleBird.

Yeah, but the Merlin is a massive Neon sign, saying SHOOT ME! So this would fill its role, and is very useful, as for example, on Qwai river, if you had blackhawks, it would suck, and be impossible to go anywhere, even for Sangin, which is coming up, get somewhere fast, and less noticably

The merlins not that bad - its quicker than the other transport helis and its no more of an RPG magnet than any others either. Also remember that the chinook is in devlopment atm. Im not saying I dont want to see the lynx though - any extra helis is a bonus!

Guys, we don't use the TOW version of the Lynx anymore, we used a few in Afghanistan and Iraq and we do it sometimes sneaky

So generally speaking, we don't use it anymore. Also, it's not like that the AH7 is transport and AH9 is armed or something. AH9 is just an upgraded version, the one has wheels, etc.
