The gun looks great and probably performs great as well. I just question the design of the weapon. I personally think that making magazine so compact it is flush with the rest of the grip is kinda pointless. The PSG-1 can use 20 round magazines (I think it takes G3 mags because that what it is, a heavily modified G3) and it is one of the most accurate off the shelf sniper rifles in the world. just older technology I guess.

THIS would really be a HEAVILY modified G3, lol.

A PSG-1 looks like a ... G3. This doesn't.

SSGP1 (ie, this) fitted with the normal 5 round rotary magazine

PSG-1 (ie, not this) with the often seen 5 round "sniper" magazine.

The PSG-1 is intended for police marksmen, not military snipers. As such it is rather more heavy and delicate than most military sniper systems. Its use by military forces is rare, and usually only by SF units. Also the PSG-1 (but not the new PSG-1A1) is fitted with a 6x scope and is generally considered to have a maximum range of around 600m.

Also, its semi automatic. All sniper systems in PR are bolt action.

Any chance that the Insurgents Ambusher class might instead of getting a cheap SKS get a nice AK74U instead? It would make more sence because the SKS is not widly used in Iraq ATM. They like fully Automatic weapons.

But if not then at least give the LMG guys a choice between the PKM 12.7mm of death, and the RPK 7.62mm of death. It might make the game a bit more interesting to have multiple weapon types for the insurgents IE SKS for normal Ambusher AK73U for a pickup weapon Ambusher kit, PKM for one man may not be all they use.

I'm just thinking outside the box so feel free to take my imput into account.

BTW nice work! I look forward to that baby in action!

Yeah and certainly not a debate about the PSG-1. The G3SG1 is on the way as well as the MEC DMR, so what's the point> :p

And I don't think MEC uses weapons from Austria, so it's probably the latter.
SSG69 is just the Austrian service designation for it based on the year it was first adopted (1969). There is no difference between the rifles, SSG-P1 is just the commercial designation for it. :)

Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia use the SSG-P1, and possibly also the UAE.

very nice, but like someone said I'd like this to have a bipod or something, it looks like too much of a hunting rifle, or my pallet gun :D

other then that great skin I gotta say, looks VERY good. quality work.
