Yes it would.....making even more folks concentrate on hiding in the grass and trying to scope and "long-stick" targets instead of assaulting an objective or a cache.
I am all for the idea of improved grass.....so long as it isnt detrimental to the game play.

wouldnt that be a good for realistic gameplay?
a grass layer would only be as tall as grass, so you would have to prone for a long way to do it

this is an awesome idea. Im sick of getting shot at while prone in some grass and not knowing were the fire is coming from. I cant see out but to them im just lying down on a piece of bare land. Realistic, i think not

If it were just for mines (as the screen showed) why not just decrease the draw distance of mines?

Dunno how it'd be done (Play DF2) but a slightly different shaped "collision mesh" terrain type thing so you can simply sink into the green floor would be kickass because of course you wouldnt just sink down everywhere

For those who remember from my Sangin WIP post, Sangin will feature grass, hedges, shrublines and crops that you CAN hide in because its all overgrowth. Oooh I wish I could show you some of those fields now...

But you'll have to wait a bit longer!

4km of detailed mapping based on reference material takes a loooong time

I'll probably post an update on it in the not too distant future

I also prefer destructible building/doors to improved grass but it does is very annoying to be actually disadvantaged when "hiding" in grass during long range firefight.
