Re: [Question] Mec army?
Back in 0.5 the Insurgents had T-62's, thanks to a renegade Iraqi Army armoured battalion as well as BRDM-2s
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

Re: [Question] Mec army?
maybee use the vannilla skins for the mec reserves? the skins look scabbier than the desert ones and as they will be in built up areas it wont matter so much.
im tryiung to learn to map athe moment so ill help out with some stuff once iget more competent maybee a map with a huge Millitary base that the reserves have to defend whilst the best forces are off fighting

Re: [Question] Mec army?
prehaps you can have it where like the BLUFOR has jets and armour at the beggining of s round and the mec reserves has just their bmp-3s and crappy tanks then after 20mins or so air support becomes avalible as the MEC airforce is called in, then like 40mins later T-90s arrive, it be like counter attck mode only the idea is that the poorly eqipped resserves have to defend until reinforcements arrive. Prehaps have the jets come in 10mins representing the migs being scampled to intercept BLUFOR aircraft

Thanks to the A10 they didn't live long, and did not respawn either.[R-MOD]Bob_Marley wrote:Back in 0.5 the Insurgents had T-62's, thanks to a renegade Iraqi Army armoured battalion as well as BRDM-2s
Wouldn't T-72s be more appropriate? They're old but not that old.
USi has them.

That wasn't my memory of it, as I remember the T-62 was the deadliest SPAAG ever deployed on the battle grounds of 0.5. Those A10s are tough, but they're not tough enough to take a 115mm round in the face.Outlawz wrote:Thanks to the A10 they didn't live long, and did not respawn either.![]()

Update: I've been able to successfully recolor the keffiyah, but unfortunately Photoshop is crashing when I try to save the file
Update2: Combined the MEC kit and the Insurgent Kit, colorized the Keffiyah and have it saved in DDS format!

Re: [Question] Mec army?
Why use keffiyahs at all? Wouldn't they look to much like insurgents?

Re: [Question] Mec army?
Jonny- An idea along the line of the Recce BDRM, an unarmed 2 man recon plane (Similar to the Piper Cub in FH2.) The passenger would have a SOFLAM type view, and be able to spot enemy movements. Whaddaya think?
Edit: I know this is a bit of the pipedream at the moment, but I like the concept of a slow moving aircraft tracking enemy movement in a built-up area.

Re: [Question] Mec army?
To add character, the lack of helmets in the faction provides them with a distinctly different look from frontline MEC soldiers. Additionally, the Keffiyah is a common piece of headware in the Mid East.STORM-Mama wrote:Why use keffiyahs at all? Wouldn't they look to much like insurgents?
