The only difference are the drivers, which can be modded easily.
Yes, 3dmark 06 scores depend on the whole system, but so do games. So if his 3dmark is half of mine, then his ingame performance will most likely be beneath mine.

No. Not really.

Yes... but the 3D mark isn't half... Check out the link - on similar systems, the NVS 140M got 1477, the 8400M GS 1365. Really not a significant difference. Also, if you say the only difference is the drivers, how is this going to suddenly give it double the performance?

Yes, really:
Many of these cards use the same chipset as the game- and action-oriented GeForce video cards by NVIDIA. Those cards that are identical to the desktop cards can be "soft-modded" to emulate its equivalent Quadro card.

Maybe i wasnt clear enough, i meant the only difference between Geforce and Quadro, not between these cards. The cards are different in the way that the nvs is somewhere between 8400m GT ans GS performancewise.
And even if they were equal, it would still mean that he should expect my ingame performance with his laptop. The 3079 is o/ced, i just checked and i stock at 1913

Same chipset != same card.
With overclocking making that much difference, you really need to say so when you're quoting system specs and performance, otherwise the stats you quote are useless for others to compare with.
Anyway, this is getting waayy off topic, so lets leave it there.

Awesome, sounds like my new Laptop should be able to handle PR.
I got it for my B'day and its still in the mail, ASUS and all dad has told me about it is that it is supposed to have a good graphic card.

With my Dell XPS M1330 with 2gb of ram, intel core 2 duo @ 2.2ghz and the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT 128MB i get around 40fps with everything on low (geometry on medium to get ridd of blocky M2 sights), view distance is set to full and forced 1280x800 resolution. The fps dipps below 15 when in smoke ETC but is most playeble for me
