The BF2 engine can't make player built tunnels, heck, until Coderedfox came along, most people didn't think the engine could pull off Cave systems.
And as to the "factory" I think that's what most of us took it as, a low key structure where they fitted explosives on cars, to implement that, it would spawn 2 to 4 bomb cars every x minutes. I think it's a good idea, gives the Insurgents greater flexability, which they need, because as said earlier, if the Brits on Basrah are smart and isolate palace, the insurgents are in for a world of hurt.

i'm dont completely agree with what the suggestion says but something along those lines would be nice for the insurgents.

first of all not a palace, it's a mosque. (would be the christian equivelent of a cathedral)

second, no i'm pretty sure americans werent around when these things were built. (thats like saying that the great wall of china was probably built by some american investor who thought protecting china from the mongols would make him money.)

third, its a freakin city, i'm sure they can find plenty of cars to place bombs into, but since the game cant have a huge parking lot full of working cars, this would be a representation. essentialy what he's suggesting is that instead of having to wait the default x minutes for a new bomb car, they can build some sort of asset that speeds things up. so i guess it'd be like instead of them having to carry a bomb say from the cache to the parking lot they put the cache in the parking lot and work there.

^^ Palace and Mosque are two different places on Basrah, Palace is to the south and all the armed vehicles spawn there, Mosque is in the middle of the city and all the special kits spawn there.

even so i'm pretty sure it was built while the americans were still discovering the west or annexing someone elses farmland.

Spiderholes and tunnel related items would be great, but like Tirak said, with BF2's engine that's impossible (pretty sad considering that older games have better/more complex engines when compared to BF2). The other stuff doesn't really make sense though. Bomb factory maybe, but it should be some sort of Bomber pickup kit (AK47 and some proximity IEDs) and it the factory would resupply Insurgents. I think that would be a good way to level up the field.

Overall, the most realistic way to make it so Insurgents have a bit more of an advantage would be to cut their spawn time in 1/2 compared to Coalition forces because Insurgents get reinforcements a lot faster than Coalition usually because Insurgents just need their friends to run down the street and Coalition forces need to get reinforcements from base.

Tunnels: .... no you just can't BUILD tunnels... but you could make tunnels in the form of coderedfox's CAVE system ^_^ but underground =D MWAHAHAHAHAHAH

thing is you'd PROBABLY have to get rid of the water if it's underneath the land XD

Its not a factory more a small work shop its just the word factory is what would be used.
Ever seen a news report about a terrorist bomb factory its usualy in someones back gardern in a shed thats what this suggestion is esentialy. :mrgreen:

But im not sure with bf2 engine you can transfrom cars like technicals into bomb technicals during play the way you describe thats why it spawns bomb cars instead it simulates the process.
