ye that is really the only way you could do it, but that dosent stop players from jumping into the tank etc when its moving above and then all hell brakes loose and the tank and LCAC would destory eachother in seconds...FSgt.Lang |3-5| wrote:With DCX we had a working LCAC and the trick was to have the vehicles spawn on the deck of the LCAC once the ramp was lowered. Perhaps something along the same line. You can have non-enterable statics that are "replaced" by spawned vehicles once you lower the ramps.
also when you said "we had" dose that mean you use to work for DCX?

yeah. same with huge transport helos. why not let the vehicles spawn OUTSIDE of it. not realisitic but you would give the mappers loads of new opportunities. maybe one could let the helo "refuel" the humvee once it has been destroyed or something. im not into the engine, but another suggestion would be:
make an animation of the humvee rolling down the ramp and after the animation spawn the humvee. something like that.

it would spawn on the LCAC, then you would lock it untill a player got into it is the easit way, when it is locked to the LCAC it will travle on the LCACs phyics so it will not confilit but as soon as a player gets into it, the lock is broken and then the tank trys to get a grip. even if the LCAC is not moving there would be a big problem and would still probaly cause them to blow each other up.77SiCaRiO77 wrote:I dont know how you can enter in the vehicle if only spawn when its in the coast![]()
and for spawning outside the LCAC, dunno if it could be done, maybe with some complx py coding.

Hmm...I heard from someone that the LCAC was still alive as late as an early release of the mod editor. I'm downloading from the link below to see if it's there, as this is the earliest open release I could find.

I guess the only way around that would be to make the LCAC indestructable?'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino']it would spawn on the LCAC, then you would lock it untill a player got into it is the easit way, when it is locked to the LCAC it will travle on the LCACs phyics so it will not confilit but as soon as a player gets into it, the lock is broken and then the tank trys to get a grip. even if the LCAC is not moving there would be a big problem and would still probaly cause them to blow each other up.

And give it a high viechle repair rate so it would just fix up the DMG created by the viechles on board

the tank would still blow up and the server would die from all the lag'[R-MOD wrote:Mongolian_dude']I guess the only way around that would be to make the LCAC indestructable?

ehhh, i very much dout it, im pretty sure i had that version long ago and there was never an LCAC in it and the editor dose not contain any objects with it, apart from the ENVmap cube.k30dxedle wrote:Hmm...I heard from someone that the LCAC was still alive as late as an early release of the mod editor. Will that stop the bouncing and warping of two vehicles jumping into each other? nope'[R-MOD wrote:Mongolian_dude']I guess the only way around that would be to make the LCAC indestructable?

Cause EA decided to make a whole wack of stuff that shouldn't be all locked up "hardcoded" since they're a craptacular money grabbing company who can't really get people to buy expansion packs unless they do this sort of thing?
So they could release 2142 with some minor improvements a year or so after BF2's release and call it a completely new game, and charge you another 60 bucks despite the fact that all those "unobtrusive" in-game ads they're flashing all over the game you brought will probably bring them more revenue on a average per player basis and that they really should be paying YOU to play their game?
BTW, for those of you that bought 2142 even after discovering about the in-game ads, shame on you. If the video game industry takes on a sudden trends towards ingame ads that are completely out of sync with the game's atmosphere, you know who to blame.
