nathanator, as much as i agree u have to be patient and skillful with the sniper kit, i completely disagree to the fact that u stop the scope and wait for the pray to fall into ur crosshairs. Absolutely a disgusting idea. When enemies move in slight inches and u have to keep moving ur scope u will hit nothing in the current system. Absolutely nothing that way. Snipers track their targets and shoot. They do use the technique of letting enemies get to their crosshairs instead in diff situations, but the way it is right now makes me cry.

We all agree that deviation should be included in sniper kits, absofu*inlutely. But not in this way. It was agreed upon by many members that a system such as the heavy anti tank kit deviation will work perfectly for snipers. As long as u move the scope slowly there will be almost no deviation, but sharp movements will make u miss.

Its perfect.

But, this is just what we all discussed as to .75 I have no idea what its going to be like in .8 but i made a post which gave me no answers as to if movement of scope will create massive deviation still.... Guess we have to wait to find out? Just saw the post above me, so we will wait then and then and only then we can see what happens with the sniper kit.

One way or another i thank the devs for all their work and hard effort to even bring it this far.

The man is right, a sniper team should be used to do recon for the team, not just to get kills.

It might be wise to hold your tongue and play 0.8 before complaining about
something thats not in the changelog.

I do find this thread very useless in the general discussion form so please lock before
war is declared on deviation.

PS: When i go back to Binghamton University, i will get about 10 hot cheerleaders in short mini skirts and get them to say "Gooooooo DEVS!!" in a video dedicated for ya.


PSS: If i can get them to make out instead though, i will keep that video to myself.

Sniper role is transitioning to one of recon, not destroy-everything-that-moves. If you cant deal with that, try the wookie sniper mod
