Are there plans for an official release? Maybe even a CD? I would buy it just for my favourite tracks - Desert Heat, and the Chinese track (can't think of the name) Although all the tracks are fantastic

PR music is fantastic, hats off to the guys (and Aphex Twin) who create it. It has to be said I still get a big kick out of listening to oldies like BF2's Bugling in "Armoured Fury Anthem" and PR's original theme.

I noticed that track sounded different to the others, although I had no idea it was by Aphex Twin.

I have to compliment the music creators for this wonderful soundtrack, which is not even a step behind official, serious, movie soundtracks.

And I have to mention Alkali's Reality Check (the song for Sunset City)... it just perfectly reflects the environment of that map. And Heavy Resistance (from Assault on Mestia) has this growing feeling in it; a great use of bass, by the way.

- Cover (the beginning is John Barry like, then drifts off to Hooverphonic))

- Hunting Taliban (very Hans Zimmer like)

By the way, where is the tune "Nostalgia" from, I mean who made it where was it originally used for?

Nostalgia sounds very much like the BF theme; ie, the main-menu music from BF1942.

I like the soundtrack. Wish the .oggs were tagged, though. Didn't want to download the converted .mp3s, cause everything I'd want to play the soundtrack on can handle .oggs. I downloaded it anyway, just to have some consistency between the mp3 ID3 tags and the ogg metadata.

Wow, this "Nostalgia" here is the main BF theme and probably makes a short appearance in every game of the series... Notice the opening of BF2 (and even stuff like the trailers for Battlefield Heroes) and, of course, search on YouTube for the great, classic intro for Battlefield 1942.

This track gives me good, great, exciting memories.

It's called "Nostalgia" for a reason


My favorites: Heavy Resistance, Disciple MEC 3 (Night), Nostalgia and, of course, the Bi Ming Loading track!
