lol, Fallujah is nothing like Basrah, Ramiel is closer to Basrah than Fallujah is, epically game play wise.

There is nothing wrong with having both maps in at the same time, Ramiel can be the Army VS. Insurgents(Like now), and Fallujah be Marines VS Insurgents, that way we have 3 insurgency city maps with 3 different factions on each of them! Okito, if they take it out(sarcasm) you and me are going to get together to march on Washington(and we can, we live in the same state)

I've tested out some very recent builds of fullujah and its going to offer something very different than what Ramiel offers. Both are good maps, but in the end, no map will offer the same thing (unless its a clone

)
Eh, Jabal and Muttrah are way different. The setting is different - mostly flat sea-side sunny happy-go-lucky resort VS super hilly desert with a dusty city in the middle, the gameplay is different, the way the flags are set up and how one takes and and approaches the different objectives.
Whereas Ramiel and Basrah are quite similar in setting and gameplay. Hopefully since Fallujah will be smaller it'll play differently. But now that I think about it, Basrah and Ramiel are closer than they are to Fallujah then, since Basrah and Ramiel both have an airport...

but muttrah and jabal both have a carrier (in fact the same carrier) and hueys! they must be the same
Really, its pointless comparing maps and calling them clones...

Wait...
Basrah? I hope you meant Jabal. Did you bribe Duckhunt to put a USMC carrier somewhere in Basrah? I'll have to go look around... as [R-DEV]'s are not to be trusted

I think everyone is missing the key point here: The more maps that are added every release the more film locations we have for machinimas! Plain and simple, leave all maps in no matter how bad they are! Where's my Hills of Hamyong!?

ye, then we would have a 20gb download and servers running soo many crappy maps you wouldn't be able to tell which the good ones are and chances are, you will pick one of the sh*t, untested maps with loads and loads of bugs, think the mod is **** and uninstall it.
Ye dont think we are going to go down that route.

Hehe, I didn't think about that. At least the maps seem to stay semi-compatible from version to version. I ran the Khara Beta from a couple months ago in 0.8 yesterday to compare the changes from Khara to Korengal.

So, the question is, Since the 2 maps will pretty much be the same concept (but different map - hence different gameplay), will you keep both maps in future releases or do you plan on retiring Ramiel when Fallujah West is ready? btw, Ramiel already is, and Fallujah West will be, a better map than Al Basrah imo...Basrah just doesn't quite work all that great. Plus its way smaller
wrong, Al basrah and ramiel are the same size. both 2KM

Why should one of the maps get removed ? THe more choices for admins the better. Fun maps with an unique concept (like the run on bunker fortifications in mestia) should have 1-2 additional maps in that fashion to bring some variation in a nice concept.
