If there is a admin in the game let him know. That kinda responce will normally get a person warned or banned.

I think allot of server are relaxing the rules for the first few weeks after the release.

I do believe that a ban is a little harsh.

The normal thing is a warning or kick for harassment, that I've seen at least.

When it comes to helping noobs, I only match the amount of effort they put into learning the game. If they are indifferent about learning how the game works, I just let someone else deal with them. However, if they show a willingness to learning how things work, I'll make sure they know everything they need.

I haven't read this whole thread, sorry... but have seen/read 50 similar ones over the years.

New players are the life and blood of PR. Treat them with respect.

Players on the Tactics & Teamwork server being abusive to new players will be kicked/banned with NO warning. There is NO excuse. PR is a complicated FPS that requires a certain understanding and mind set... players CAN'T be expected to gain this straight away, it takes some time.

We were all PR newbies and have ALL done/do really stupid things in-game. Be nice to the new players... and you might be rewarded by good karma, your god or your Mummy. :p

No thanks :o

Btw, we're talking about "newb(ie)s" here, not "noobs" ;) . As sais, they are the life and blood of PR and we've all been there. A helping hand is good, especially when you want to do more than just being a grunt.

New players are wonderfull!

In 0.75 I was a squad leader with random players. At one point during the endgame, while there was a pause in enemy attacks, a SM asks me:
"Squad leader, what is this? Can I destroy it?"
Couldn't see where he was looking at so I asked him:
"What do you mean with this?"
"Come here and I will show you."
I walk to the SM and see him pointing his gun at our rally point. How I laughed! And of course I explained it to him afterwards.

I try my hardest to help out the new players...unless they are thicker than a brick wall and don't want to try to learn the PR way. And generally my first sentence after 'Welcome' is 'Please go read the Manual before you kill yourself'

I don't mind people who can't speak English in my squads since I have had many great rounds with non-English speakers. And have had one of my best APC rounds with I think a German, we couldn't understand anything between eachother than 'go', 'stop', a little bit of the enemy bearings and some Swearing.

It would be great if the DEV's could somehow create a code that loads up the Manual and has audio files in it that play once its opened itself...and doesn't close and let them play till its finished giving out the basic info, but this is pretty impossible.
