Wigan

UK forces have to fight their way through the roadworks, (literally, with the workmen being armed) and steal the kittywake barge from Wigan Pier and defend it whilst escaping up the canal lol

wounded soldiers can be brought round with a meat 'n' potato pie and pint of John Smiths bitter.
you can also be healed by visitng one of the local chippy's for chips, peas, and gravy

Well, I would choose Veneza. Why ? Because it is surrounded by water and we can maker this map bigger than kashan, the texture bug would stay under the water

venice would be properly intense, but the amount of custom statics needed makes the mind boggle

Seriously though, id like to see a proper chinese city instead of these random made up ones (or 1 rather). Have it make some form of realistic tactical sense and have 'Assault on Harbin', 'Beijing Outskirts' or even 'Defence of Kowloon'. Who knows, the possibilities are proverbially endless.

damn! I was totally gonna say Venice!

Well, I guess I'd go with Mesa Verde cause it'd be cool to fight under cliffs.

MELBOURNE!

melbourne australia definitely! the CBD is essentially a 3-5km ish by 4km ish rectangle. countless street, alleyways, buildings, underground tunnels... seceret and known.... just getting goosebumps bout thinking bout an attack chopper droning through the streets walled with buildings searching for the 'evil australian rebels' (bogans)!

props for the topic!

Why don't we have any maps on American soil anyway? It's always them invading someone else...

Golden, British Columbia.
Where the Kicking horse river meets the Columbia river.

golden bc - Google Maps

It has a highway intersect - Do some VCPs
Forces have to start in the east at top of the Kicking Horse pass and either drive down the mountain road or take boats down the rated 4-5 rapids. Can't do rapids in BF2 engine can you ?

Capture the town, rail yard, small airport before the final assault on the mountain stronghold in the Kicking Horse Ski resort high up the west ridge.

hmm Canadian Forces VS the Angry Beaver Coalition. The ABC's get logging trucks for transport and suicide runs, along with chainsaws, hunting rifles and ski poles.
CF gets air transport once they capture the airport.

San Fransisco :-D I say the downtown and Chinatown area but, seems impossible with bf2, (here i go again about the pr dev team making their own game)but if it was a game made to be realistic then you could do it.

Key West and the Florida Keys in general. An urban area, a Naval Air Station, a chain of islands connected by one 4 lane road, dense mangrove swamps, Fort Jefferson. You could even put in the old Flagler bridges that run alongside the 7 Mile Bridge, so that you can use the insurgents and USMC to recreate True Lies (will need a model for a Harrier, however). Lose points if you accidentally kill a Key Deer

One problem: completely, absolutely flat.

I vote craggy island, lots of open space with some good landmarks for flags (The parochial house, the cinema and the church). Lots of sea as well so the Essex can stop off, another good reason for this map would be that there are not many trees so less problems with noobs crashing into them. If the map needed expanding I would also recommend that maybe one side starts on Rugged island with the aim of the game being to take the other islands parochial house (AKA main).

Would also need milk floats modelled so as to be the islands forklift style transport.
