Solution?
1. increase sound distance of vehicle engines so you hear them coming.
2. decrease max speed of civi cars
3. reduce high-speed maneuverability to be more realistic
4. decrease acceleration/deceleration
5. increase damage taken by running into objects, especially at full speed.
On Kongreal, I got run over from behind and and didnt hear what hit me until after I died, I commented "did the army switch to Hybrid cars?". You cant hear the Humvee until they are literally right on top of you. IRL you can hear a car long before you see it.
For 2. Civi cars should be as fast as right now with shift, but much less manuverable.
for 3. Turn radii should be greater at higher speeds
5. as long as you dont increase damage at medium speeds, I agree

Umm, I've been looking at a lot of car crashes, and I have to say, hitting a person doesn't look like it damages the vehicle much, the worst damage I've seen so far is a cracked windshield, I don't think that a purpose build military vehicle, or even the current civi vehicles would realistically take any damage other than purely superficial.

As I know nothing of vehicle hitboxes please forgive me if this question seems ignorant -
Can the wheels (or at least the area of them) of the vehicles involved with these tactics (jeeps/civi cars etc) have a separate hitbox that when shot at will disable the vehicle in some way quicker than if one was just shooting at the body of the vehicle? So when the squad see a ice cream truck zooming towards them we can start shooting at the wheel area and know we will "blow the tyres" pretty readily. When I say disable I mean in the way a tank or apc will only turn left and so on, not necessarily destroy the vehicle outright.

sorry, all the 'Jack Bauer' kits have been issued

Really, how did we run out of Rifleman Optics kits? Seriously, on Jabal in .756 this happened all the time, and all I ever did was go prone, watch him drive right over me, stand up and put a couple of rounds into his windshield, and that's a heck of a lot more realistic than saying your armored military vehicle is going to take damage because a person got in the way.
