The BFv engine was made to include tunnels the way you metioned above. DiCE have allready said its not possibal with the BF2 engine to do it the same way unless you where going to redo the whole engine which is not possibal in a mod. The only way to make tunnels that is the most pratical in BF2 is to make a big dip in the terrain where you want your tunnel to go, and lay the tunnel model in it. Then over it put anouther model (or it could be included with the tunnel model) with a terrian texture on it and makeing it look like terrian. This is just hard to do, takes alot of time so its probaly not worth it unless the map really needs it / will benfit from it.

so what you are saying is that warping is not possible with this engine or you are misunderstanding my post.

Two uncapable and one capable in the middle would be a cool idea. I think untill .3 with some of the balance issues fixed (ie. m24 accuracy vs mec vs china) that it wouldn't be that fun to play on but the idea is sound..

Get rid of M24, replace it with the M40A3. I mean, it's the primary sniper rifle of marine scout snipers

I like the m40 but I was working with what is already in game

Great idea though. I'm just glad we will be seeing the m14.

i agree with having a larger flag radius and more static objects near them. too often is a whole squad taken out by a single grenade (no matter how spread out they are)
i also agree with having more nuetral flags.
and if your having problems capping new flags and loosing old ones all you have to do is have 2 squads one attacking and one defending, always have your attacking squad bigger also.
if its possible, i think assualting forces should have the ability to capture flags quicker then defending forces, like, maybe 5 seconds quicker, nothing too harsh.

You def didn't warp at all in BFV to do tunnels. You dropped the ground all the way down to the lowest setting (height of 0) and that section of ground would disapear, thus creating a "rip" in the ground which you could insert a tunnel entrance into to get below the ground.

I would be nice if the modellers quickly made some quick statics, things such as sand bags and other cover objects. Some things that you can shoot over when crouched, other things when standing up.

Definitely needs to be more cover. This is a ****ing warzone, not a generic environment.
I'd love to have a map where the MEC needs to defend a city and they've got tons of sandbangs and buildings to use for cover. Good place for machine guns and snipers. The only cover the USMC would have would be berms and their LAV-25s

Also. Maps should look like they have been contested in some sense. I'm pretty sure prior to an assault that you might use artillery or air strikes against the enemy. A lot of maps still seem to contain perfectly clean streets, brand new buildings etc. It doesn't give any feeling what so ever about being a warzone.
