Can a vehicle drive away from it slowly to avoid the explosion? Not a must, but that would be quite cool.
edit: Wrote this as response to EOD's last post.
@ the post above: There doesnt need to be any difference between real ammo - a careful player will crouch up to it to make sure it really is ammo - if s/he doesnt get any ammo, s/he knows its dangerous.

Exactly about the crouching.
I'm pretty sure you won't be able to drive near it and not set it off because most of the vehicles move pretty fast.
Also, most players in vehicles won't even get close enough to set if off unless they are trying to run the ammo box over or get ammo from it.

I meant that the insurgents will probably often place it next to vehicles, so i thought that the vehicle shouldnt really set it off when someone just drives away from that thing carefully. Actually - maybe that does even work right now, because i experienced that sometimes a vehicle right next to a mine wouldnt set it off unless it leaves and re-enters the radius. Could be wrong, but maybe you should just try it out.
Again, not very important, people will learn that they have to defuse it first, but it would be more realistic, as the vehicle driving away doesnt try to "get the ammo".

Yeah, I don't doubt people will learn; however, there will always be that one individual or one moment when you see an ammo box and are running really low on ammo (or really need ammo badly, like AT or something) and that's when it'll get you. That's what happens in real life anyway, you won't die unless you stop being cautious.
I'll try to test it out sometime when I get the chance.

Is it possible to have it not be triggered by certain vehicles? Like have it be triggered by humvees and light vehicles, but not by APCs or tanks? I don't think an insurgent would waste their time blowing up a anti-personnel bomb on a Challenger or Stryker.

I am very much against this idea. I don't think that making soldiers deathly afraid of ammocrates would contribute in any great manner to the game, and would serve only to result in a lack of use with the Remote detonated IED's, which are already too prevalant.

Yeah I kinda feel the same way. I like the idea of VOIED's but not disguised as ammo crates or kits. Even though I know the fear of booby traps would be exactly like that though

Actually i love this idea, that will get the coalision forces to think twice before they run out in in the middle of nowear trying to get ammo.
I say keep up the good work

Nothing to stop a guy with an IED sticking one on an ammocrate?

Looks great, I would try to maybe in a later time make a new model but otherwise looks good. It should be able to disable a APC or tanks tracks at the least. Hummers and landys are just gone.

Make sure it doesn't explode due to vehicle movement, because that would not fit with your Victim Operated IED, to be frank, a proximity fuse at all doesn't fit with Victim Operated.

Well, sorry to say, but even AT mines are proximity devices in BF2. The only things I can do is have it be timed, proximity, or remote detonated. Also, VOIED's definately could use a motion sensor (proximity triggered type device), it's just most Insurgents can't get a hold of motion sensors. A VOIED just means that you make the explosive go off, and it's not on a timer or up to someone with a detonator.
