Can't wait to have the MG3 with German forces.
What about faces? Will we see some new faces in the new factions?

My bad, forgot the Dutch too! Sorries!

Possibly 21 factions in PR.. Yeah this is something you would not get anywhere else.

I'm not sure about the RA getting Mestia, but I remember they had an Airborne map on the works and where talking about using Daqinq Oilfields audit for RAvsPLA. But Seeing as how they will likely be introduced in PR 0.85, the info on that will come out DEV-style rather than on their Community Forums. :-)

From Wiki:

"A Mujahid (Arabic: مجاهد, muǧāhid, literally "struggler") is a Muslim involved in a jihad, who is fighting in a war or involved in any other struggle.[1] The plural is Mujahideen[2] (Arabic: مجاهدين‎, muǧāhidīn). The word is from the same Arabic triliteral as jihad ("struggle"). In Islamic scripture, the mujahid contrasts with the qaid, one who does not join the jihad."

There are lots of groups are referred to as the Mujahideen, but as far as I know it's usually just a way of refering to that localities Mujahideen, the actual groups themselves will have their own names, such as the Taliban.

As a Jihad can theoretically be against a country or in inept bus service, a Mujahid could be fighting a marine or not buying Coca-Cola with their Rajas :p

Then change the "map story". Brits already have more then enough maps and it's not really realistic that a NATO country should be so actively involved in Georgia, thinking about what have happened there the last couple of months. Mestia and Fools Road were created before the war in South Ossetia, right now the situation in that area is different.

Russia would be far more realistic, and it would also be an easy and good way to introduce the Russian Army.

According to the old map description for Fools Road the area of combat is located in Georgia, close to the border with Turkey.

And the guide is wrong. Mestia is also located in Georgia: Mestia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It'll sort itself out after a while, they have been doing a fair bit of mapping in the community mods as well as all the other tasks.

What the hell are we doing in Germany anyway? We're not stationed in the Rhine just incase Nazi military infastructure starts popping up again are we?! :p

Not to mention how much work has been put into every single faction. vBF2 + SF had a great amount of different armies, but the only thing that was different between some of them was the name (MEC, MEC:SF, Ins, Rebels and Spetsnaz all had the same kits and equipment - very lame). In PR every faction has a unique "feel" to them, with different equipment and so on.

Definately looking forward to the Russians the most, but seeing what the Devs have made with the Taliban will also be interesting.

wow... that's a lot of factions :)

It has been a while since the guys working on the Argentinian faction posted their last WiPs. They did got some nice skins for it.
I've heard their website of PR Argentina got hijacked or hacked somehow and all their forums went down. They got a new forum up now but I haven't found any topic regarding any progress about the faction :(

Too bad... We kinda could use more south-american and asian factions since the majority of the current factions that are being made for PR are europeans.
