Yeah but on the rooftops you'll be revealed easily. Someone suggested that there would be some certain spots on the map where this inside FOB could be built. I then suggest that like with the weapons caches there's a couple few that is randomly set every time the map starts. But personally I'd like to see a solution where you can place it in any building you want.

I can see running into serious engine issues here. My gut tells me this is hardcoded.

I don't think so because of the existing ways the FOBs work.

Here is what would be needed.

Mapper placed 'disassembled' radio table in certain key buildings.
Crates placed in proximity of building allow disassembled radio to be used by engineer wrench to be build into assembled radio table.
Assembled Radio table allows spawning from points inside the building.
Assembled Radio table can be destroyed by hits from knife (like current FoB).
When Radio Table if active it allows the static placed AA on roof to be 'built'.
Perhaps the door into the building can be breached but to repair has to be done by an engineer to fix it thus limiting access into and out of building. (especially useful if engineer inside lets friendlies out via grapple)
Perhaps also static guns if they are 'built' by said engineer.


The upside is that these buildings would be a bit more fortified than a normal FOB.

The downside is that the other team will be after these buildings for themselves and also know where they are. Meaning more defense being needed.


Of course this discussion is all moot unless the devs see fit to do it, but a neat idea nonetheless.

Isn't there a limit to the amount of networkable objects on a map. This would create far too many on alot of maps that are already at the limit
