I laugh when people complain about having to walk 300 or 400 metres in PR. Join the real Army, or even Cadets, then start complaining about walking up to 20 km

yup i don't find it a problem to walk 1300 m or so to get to the theater of operations maybe more, but i also have to make it fit with my schedule so i don't have the time for the LONG walks.
but walking 20 clicks is the bomb (makes you relaxed as hell) that is if it's not in the army doing the marches, damn i hate those.
Edit: just to avoid confusion i've not been in the army only for some civil stuff we have to do, but i've walked my fair share including doing marches with the cadets.

So, teams could get extra assets spawned at main for each Forward Outpost they have built. Primarily transport assets.
The problem with this though is that people would build them in their main just to get the rewarded assets, thus eliminating the point of them.
To get round this would be to only alow the reward for FO's built at control points, which would also give people an extra reason to go help cap them. Also if possible, FO's built a certain distance from main.
-First of all, FOPs can only be built within 400m of each other so you can only build one at the main base. Secondly, building FOPs at CPs is not advisable as that is the area that will be under attack and not the place to spawn in reinforcements.

This would be Why I no longer run an INF squad on Kashan- I just don't trust My teammates enough to treat the A-10/Frogfoor/F-16/Mig correctly.

If PR begins using lightly-armed, true APCs (not the IFVs included today), as they plan to do for 0.85/0.9, a good APC transport team could end this problem rather easily, and less of the things would be used to rape infantry and other APCs.
Without a good APC transport team, I'm sure that the DEVs will reduce the frequency of light transports ('jeeps'), which will make things even harder on noob-infested servers.
When I used an APC as a transport vehicle I got demanded by the Commander to be an IFV.
And my Squad members was like : WTF? use Apc as a transport vehicle never heard of.

I agree.
It won´t change though...
1) I can´t be expected to control 31 other people and make them do their job perfectly, and be leet myself so I never lose a vehicle.
2) I would play for fun, walking all the way across kashan, or most distances, just to get shot is not my idea of well used gaming time and fun.
If I wanted to spend 24 hours hiking through the desert, maybe I would join the army, but then they have more vehicles anyway. But I don´t want to. Neither do I want 100mph sprints over 5m distance into karkand.

I don't think players are hardcoded. I resist that notion vigorously. I just think they're habituated to certain styles of gameplay, namely ones which cater to instant gratification. Gamers, even reality interested ones, are accustomed to being able to get into the action right away.
You can change them, you just need people telling them to stop being twats and share the assets. Players that like to run amok alone, 150 metres ahead of the squad can most of the time be reigned in if you're telling them constantly to get back. Its harder to get guys to treat APCs as not as mini-tanks but then thats where the lack of commanders on most maps shows up too. If people were constantly hearing some big voice over the comms telling them to get back to base and pick up some squad then they might begin to guess at the expectations just like most people now expect to do what their SL does.
No simple solution. I just think its a long haul with trying to encourage crappy players to play along. People going commander to coordinate those APCs and Trans Helos, and slowly making players who play more than one round every month get a sense that they can't just run off soloing assets, so Admins on servers helps there too.
Its almost like raising kids I figure.

More Vehicles = More Wasteage = Same Problem
Have actually spent time in game rescuing vehicles!
How Sad am I?

Not very if this next version has vehicle destruction equaling ticket loss. You would be saving tickets for your team.

exactly.
and going around and picking up jeeps and CO trucks and returning to main is fun

If I wanted to go fight in a real war, I'd do that. But I want to play a realistic war game, not a simulation that is so accurate that your soldier has to eat and drink and sleep. Anyway, I think the whole vehicle problem is caused by noobs who waste vehicles, not by vehicle scarcity. And I don't think ticket penalties are going to do much, since these people obviously don't give a **** about their team in the first place. TBH, I don't know how to deal with noobs except forcing them to do a guided training course or banning them from driving anything until they have at least X amount of play time. But that still doesn't solve the problem of asset wasters, who IMO are equal to teamkillers in terms of disruptiveness.

I think Sir.Grossi hit a homerun with that statement.
More vehicles is simply more opportunities for the idiots to go wasting them.
Certainly does not solve any actual problems.

Nothing like 10 Humvee littered all over the field no where near the main.

I think that it's actually better to drive into enemy fire and get the vehicle blown up, because at least it will respawn after that. But a Humvee in the middle of the desert is going to sit there for hours until some passing squad finds it and recovers it.

maybe have an idle timer for vehicles once they leave where ever they span? i mean like a really long time, like say if a vehicle is idle for more than 20 minutes it will blow up and respawn at the main. its the only way i can think to solve the problem. i know on the very odd occasion you may have to leave a vehicle somewhere, to use later maybe, or you may be stranded somewhere and happen to come across an abandoned vehicle, but i think these are rare occurences.

No, because in the next update you will lose tickets for that, don't penalize the team because someone was an idiot worse than having to recover the vehicle.

Then you evaluate whether it is quicker to walk or to wait for the asset to spawn and then drive. Not walking is slower than walking...

But its not really fair either is it, just like say you're playing Fool's Road and some idiots have taken all the HAT kits but somehow nobody is firing them at the tanks.
Sometimes having a vehicle convoy is essential for some maps. Imagine Archer without ANY vehicle support. Imagine you are in main, there are no vehicles at all and the only known cache is on the other side of the map.
Sometimes being mobile is the only sensible option, and the jerks have crashed all the Hueys and taken all the Hummers.
