AFAIK, they will use The 416 since Norwegians are currently replacing the AG3 with it.
Maybe they will use both though..

It's not the rifle that matters.
What matters is that Basrah is a very good opportunity to have a MEC vs. Insurgent map that finally puts the Brits and Yankees where they belong in PR: Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, China, and a few other places.

Tbh, it makes more sence to have MEC vs ins in Basrah than Brits given the current PR scenario.
Think about it yourself, what would Brits be doing in Basrah if MEC and the allied were in a big war?

There's no story in PR, I know, but I could easily imagine the Republic of Iraq becoming a part of the MEC and the Coalition funding an insurgency among the radical Islamic residents.
That even brings an explanation for the insurgent G3: to prevent the MEC from sweeping through Turkey or w/e, NATO is unwilling to flood the insurgency with its own weapons, and instead ships captured G3s to the insurgents.
So, it works either way.

Who says the insurgent maps are part of the same NATO vs. MEC/China/Russia war?
And just for argument's sake, if Iraq stayed allied with the US, they may be using the area as a staging ground to attack the MEC, and the MEC is funding insurgents to cause havoc.
