Re: removing kill count?
ok so remove all the score so no one has to be ashamed of not team working and going lonewolf and having a piss poor score. Also so squads that don't teamwork and have a score of 2 get the same treatment as teamworking squad with 10000 in score... good idea.

Re: removing kill count?
It would be nice to see it gone - I find that I am guilty of constantly checking my score ingame and it does affect my play.
What should be kept maybe is a points scoreboard of deaths - the fewer deaths you have the better, the longer you stay alive between spawning and dying the better. That might be interesting and encourage positive PR gameplay...

Like those guys care anyway? And what treatment and where? Keep the scorboard after the round is finishd, but we dont need it while ingame. Its just a distraction imo.markonymous wrote:ok so remove all the score so no one has to be ashamed of not team working and going lonewolf and having a piss poor score. Re: removing kill count?
I find the Scoreboard to be useful, but not the kill counter. The board is a nice indication of how well the squad you're leading is doing compared to the rest of the team, I often do this by looking at the scoreboard on the squads page (Just to see if you are indeed better than that pesky squad six who always seem to be where you're trying to be before you) - especially now the scoring system seems to accurately reflect how much you help your team (ie, no more scoring points when you're dead à la very early releases
). But I'm all for the removal of in game kill count display.

i dont feel the score board reflects how well your squad is doing. i normally take up the slack of other squads when leading, leaving the blue mob to attack, attack, attack as they so love. in which i probably wont get most points, when im attacking though, most defiantly will, or having a eventful defence

Re: removing kill count?
Teamwork score and your own death count should stay, to enforce staying alive and squad play. Kill count and especialy the state of the enemies could be removed if you'd ask me. Just like the hit indicators, kill messages, the "spotting" dots following the target, the minimap and the enemies tickets. Would only be logical to continiue in this direction and make it less and less possible to know the state of the enemies and remove things from the screen that you wouldnt know IRL.
However, it might not even be possible.

I agree with the OP's intentions, and I'd like the Kill count removed until the end of round scores. Though it doesn't really bother me either way.

Yes, team must be first priority but scores are still important and fun to have! I absolutely don't want it to be taken out.foxxravin wrote:what about removing kill counts? i think many wants to be "top killers" rather then acctually help the team, and anyways whats matter is that your team win, not that you have high kill score, and maybe remove score aswell?
In clan vs clan competition, personal score do influence the team performance... Kills and death are tickets...
why shouldn't I be rewarded for killing 40 people with an armor ? It doesnt stop me from being a teamplayer, supporting infantry, following orders and trying to win the round...
On a general note about scores, I think it is rewarding when you see in-game that you have the best squad overall score vs others squad.
+ when people have negative, bad scores, they should try to improve themself... How would they know without the score tab ?

Re: removing kill count?
You would still get "general" points for doing so, but the actual number of kills wouldnt be noted (just the score you get for these kills, and that depends on factors such as what weapon you used to kill what etc. and especialy where (flag defence)) - Good players would still get the same scores, but would not know the exact number of kills at any time without confirming them themselves - for me thats mainly a realism thing. Additionaly, some newbies might not see the connection between kills and score at first, which would make those who are new and just look for score actually try to get teamwork score rather than kills, until they get familiar with the game, and at that point most of them should have learned enough not to request a sniper kit in a tank squad they just joined. At least that's what I'd think.

Re: removing kill count?
While we're at it, let's just completely get rid of the Scoreboard. So no one gets recognition for thier efforts.
It's not like people aren't still going to figure it out. Even if you don't see kills get posted on the score board you can still look at the other teams death count. Removal of kill scores may appear to be a solution, but it's not the cure.

Re: removing kill count?
Thats a point some had the suggestion for to make the enemies score (and especialy their status) invisible, just like their tickets. That wouldnt even hurt the scorehunters.

Re: removing kill count?
well, remove the whole thing would be good
, when i play PR i want to make the team win, not how many kills i have or score, and score doesnt always reflect how good you have been doing either

Re: removing kill count?
Every so often some player decides it's a good idea. They say "Hey, it's not about kills or points, it's about winning the match and teamwork, after all, I don't care about the kills or points," then they come here and make a suggestion to get rid of them. Well here's the thing, you don't care about the points, but there are players who do, there are players who are interested in their KDR, how many points they earn, and you know what, that's Ok. You don't care about the information, and they do, so why make one group unhappy for no gain?
