It said "PER TEAM". That means 80 people online.

Just reading through the original link.

So really its BF2 but with more players but less teams, less maps and same features?

Hmm.

I wouldn't trust anything on the site, big things that jumped out at me were "Possible public beta in “Summer 2008"″ and "Release in late 2008", since 2008 ends in approx 6 days, I think we can safely say the info is more than a little suspect.

Looking at the info, apart from the "modern environment", it all seems to match up with Battlefield Heroes. They kept saying public beta in summer '08 and release end of '08 for a long time. Same with the "MMO feel". So yeah, the link seems to be referring to Heroes, not a true BF3.

well, then EA needs to put the rumors down by saying they have it or they dont have it.

EA profits from speculation, why would they get rid of the hype that they don't even have to pay for, regardless of whether there is a game in development or not.

Here's a question. If not BF3 what would the next gen Project Reality platform be? Maybe in a few years when everyone has a better computer they can take a stab at the Cry Engine.

The problem with the cry engine is its limited player size, having only half of BF2's 64 player-size...

If BF3 has 80 players, 1.5 patch for BF2 will never give us more players..

The "leaked" info seems pretty fake in my opinion.

Yeah, especially the "MEC" and "NATO" factions...
