ABR will be staying for the foreseeable future.
We will NEVER use rank as any kind of unlock mechanism. As much as I would like to, it just screws up the game.
Also we're making some changes to the game dynamics that I think (hope) will make the game a lot less fun for folks who enjoy the vBF2 dynamics.
Regarding maps, we're probably going to only offer LIMITED support for vBF2 maps. There will be 5 or so vBF2 maps that we will "optomise" for PR, but beyond that our focus is going to be on custom maps from the mapping community and custom maps made specific for Project Reality.
We should have a few new maps with 0.3, expect a fat download.
Additionally the Scoring System in PR 0.3 is totally overhauled. Still sorting out kinks and it will likely need improvements, but it's a lot more weighted to survival and objectives than kills. And you will suffer penalties for losing assets such as vehicles and aircraft.
