But it definitely needs some RPG-7s and AT-4s. I was playing on Muttrah City and was up against a wall; suddenly I see an Eryx slam in the street about 70 feet away. It was pretty awesome.
Yes that map is by far the best urban map. I think there needs to be some more enterable building. Also i might beable to buy a server if you guys will play on it.

Smacks of elitism
The only way to get more people playing again, is to hurry up and publish a development timetable, and try and get .3 out quickly. People are loosing interest, people ARE turned off by the fact there is still vanilla gameplay elements included.
Arty Barrages were brought back in for some daft reason, without them being tweaked at all. Tanks still spawn every 50seconds. CQB combat boils down to who has the biggest gun or you can hit the z button the quickest.
We are stuck with a dilemma here. Do we really want mass publication of this mod, if the majority of people are stuck in vanilla ways, and theres only a very small community that plays the game properly. It seems everytime we post a news update on totalbf2 or any other community sites, we get hundreds of morons jumping on board because they've probably got all their medals and ranks, so are a bit bored.
I remember reading about some of the devs creating a "gameplay" guide.
Theres alot of people here with millitary backgrounds. This isn't universal and some people, whilst yearning to play the game properly, have no real clue.
Stop fobbing off people. The devs are starting to sounds like politicians, avoiding questions and not delivering on statements. People will soon loose interest
And with games like Armed Assualt due in June, ETQW etc etc, this Mod will soon have no fanbase, becuase after all, nearley everything the devs are trying so hard to get into the game, was already done in a far superior game engine 6 years ago.

easy does it peter =)
you dont want them to say "this will be implemented" then have them rush to get it done.
you dont want them to put out an unfinished .3, and then have a hotfix for it because it didnt get thoroughly tested
i think if anyone is getting turned off, they will come back and give .3 a try, if they were interested in the mod in the first place, they will come back.
and whats this ETQW game all about? i always thought quake wasnt based on anything realistic? (this is a general qustion, keep this thread on topic, ill gamespot ETQW =) )

I think, a Veterans Server would be good, but not having to pay. That way anyone could just pay money and get in. I think we should work on a "word of mouth" system, only trusted peoples get in, or we could simply release the password for anyone on these forums and tightly admin it.
Either way, i think its important that we still show the Vanilla people how to play properly, thats what made me love this mod. If we're locked away in a little server, then the rest of the servers will go to sh*t.
EDIT: Lol, Cerberus.

Most of the time there is almost no one playing this mod at all. So I don't think its a good idea (yet). Maybe if this mod gets more populair.

I'm not having a go. This timetable doesn't need to have all the details of what it contains, just a few rough dates.
Whilst ETQW is obviously a futuristic setting, the possibility for modding may well be bigger than it has been with BF2.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Im sure splash will offer modders some good tools, as ID have usually been pretty decent about that kind of thing. Hopefully things like classes and vehicles will not be like teh limits experiences in teh bf2 engine. Ill still play PRMM though as long as the community keeps developing with new players that learn how to play correctly.

Also, another issue with this Veterans thing... what is a "veteran"? Who decides this? and so on.

Anyone that doesn't act like a 'tard? Works for me.
Was playing last night and got killed more by being run over with jeeps than being shot by someone. If only all servers were setup like Gloryhoundz.

gloryhounds is good but ABR always attracts some of those statwhore type people

ABR is a BAD idea. Sure it nice to get around the DICE/EA monopoly on ranked servers and how it restricts mods. But ranking just brings out the lowest in people.
