If someone could post a high quality pic of the ironsight especially from a front and back view. Both the rear and forward sight. That would be helpful. I also need a reference for the M203 version, cant find that anywhere.

About the Ironsight, here's a airsoft replica of a Type89, not very good reference but I hope it helps a bit.

Actually it's a very good reference, and probably the best one you can get. The JGSDF actually contracted Tokyo Marui to create these replicas, and if they were good enough for 600 of them to be purchased as training aids, then they're definitely good enough as a reference.

Might need to scale up the apature.

Yeah, the apature looks too small. And the whole thing looks either too tall or too narrow, see here:

NP, yeah you should scale up the aperture and scale down the base ;-)

I just found a link with information about the Type 89 (will post on the JSDF thread too).

162eRI thanks for finding the UGL version.

here is a WIP of the scopes/sights.

That scope looks kind of like a AG-K M16 scope.

NICE! :D
I'm really looking forward for this model to be done. As far as I know this would be the most important element for the JSDF faction.

Oh and looking forward for the Type 89 - M230 version ;)

Keep up!

That's kinda a lot of variants. Does the JGSDF use all those?

Very nice job AREM and you are very fast... You still have a lot of job to with all the variants... ;)

PS: Be carefull, 162eRI will not let you breathe if you do all what he wants... ;)

IMHO the rifleman AT is just a rifleman optic with a rocket launcher, why giving him an SMG?
No use for the flashlight, just put the foregrip ;-)

The problem is having refs here, but actual sources say that JGSDF have to buy their own equipment (optics, scopes, grips, rails, stocks etc..) and can use pretty much all variants. It only depends on the JSDF soldier and what he wants on his gun technicaly.

But i'd make less variants that that 162eRI, that's way too much considering that we will need to make scope-HUD for each weapons and code/importe each of em. also that'll make the filesize bigger for just a few knicks, not good =/
