Like I said before, if Canada were to go to war with a huge, full-scale army, it would be in conjunction with the Unites States and other countries. Having a "Canada vs. China" scenario would be just stupid.
What is so far fetched about a Canadian base somewhere in the Middle East or Asia being attacked and Canadian forces have to defend? Or Canada being sent to take a factory/facility of some sort? Canada wouldn't need to have the US or England tagging along on every mission (they haven't in 60 years).

How meany wars have they had since 60 years ago?
Oh and to my knowledge England is a state like Texas, North dekota and Florida is to America; The real name acording to the ever inaccurate wiki (of witch i beleave this time) is:
The United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland. I have to say, i prefer "Britian" or "The UK", its so much more simple.

WWII, Korea, Bosnia, Afghanistan and I'm sure I'm missing one or two other conflicts.

The bases they sold if my memory serves me right were in Newfoundland (mainly used as ports), which at the time was not part of Canada and still part of the British Empire.

Technically we(CANADA) didnt have our own constitution until the 1980's. Also we are fighting in Afganistan right now, and not as part of the UN. So guys read up before you say something about a countries army. Although as a Canadian, i am in favor of adding them, but there is so much more to add besides another faction. An actual faction to fight against the british/us is more important then the fictional MEC.

Canada needs to worry about its jets before attack helos and replacing the Sea Kings. An American pilot will get more flight time in two years then a Canadian pilot will get in their career. The CF-18's Canada has right now are garbage. Half of them don't work and the other half have 2-3 pilots sharing them.

Adding the countries that are more likely to be involved in MEC/China conflicts is probably a better idea. India, Japan, Pakistan (might not be a part of the MEC-they never know what side they're on), the Koreas (maybe a fictional united Korea?-this is supposed to be the future after all).

If we are going to add yet another ally, it should be Germany with their extremly unique and modern army. I would love to the the leapord, G36, Dingo way before the c7/c8 and some old american hardware (m113s and m60s). No offence to you Canadians, but Canada isn't that unique of a faction.

six7: I'm Canadian, and I agree. But no matter what country is added, there is going to be overlap. The biggest arms manufacturers in the world make the same stuff for different countries and just give it different names. Neither Japan nor Germany have native aircraft, and India and Pakistan have an eclectic mix of ex-Russian and ex-US vehicles.
If it's going to be realistic, all that really needs to be done is add a few flags. But that doesn't change game play, so why bother?
