Only way you could do it is to add modified kits with another faction's rifle in them.

I cant say it bothers me too much about who's on which map, as long as we have the map and the teams, surely thats all that matters?

I am gonna miss the stereotyped british accents i must say

i put up the vanilla initcon lol. i know pr uses 5 kits. just saying people wanted multiple factions thats what i would do. not that they should.

Its been suggested before and knocked back for the reason that Outlawz and Jonny said.

US maps start to get boring more Chinease maps would be nice, the Brits dont have many and some that they do have the majority are bored off e.g. albasrah

More British maps and Chinease ones please.

To answer the OP, yes. And for the three reasons stated:

1. 2 US Factions v. 1 of other nations
2. US Army needs maps
3. Maps are often based on current conflicts, US is more involved

I can just imagine the British troops speaking with American accents or vice versa (would actually be funnier that way).

Ultra agree x2. As previously stated there are two US factions, but as the number of community mods increase meaning less maps for each faction, some US maps must be removed, actually removal of USMC might be a suggestion(far future suggestion though)

All new maps are good imho, adds vareity, and as has been said, with the 2 US factions there's going to be a few more US maps.

My only gripe is the maps left to the British are, for the most part, either not played/server killers or, in my opinion, some of the poorer or more limited in scope (tactics and assets wise i mean) maps left in PR. Obviously the later thing is a personal preference, its just i'm not too great a fan of 7 Gates these days or Al Kufrah, Al Bas I've played loads over it different versions (good map that it is) and QL empties a server quicker than the plague it seems.

I don't give a damn about factions. Let them be US Marines, US Army, PLA guys, MEC mofo's, British lads or Ahmed and his gang. The only thing I'm interested in is the quality of the map.

Why not just increase the number of maps instead of having fewer per faction? If you have to, split the download into several mappacks. Maps should only be added, never removed (unless they're hopelessly outdated and incompatible with the mod's current gameplay).

Well this is the MAIN reason most maps get removed. As far as agreeing or disagreeing is another topic all together.

Of course it's the mappers choice, so this thread is rather pointless. The Dev team can't exactly force people to put GB on their map.

Do we really need more US Maps? Yes, but we also need more GB, PLA, MEC, etc maps. We need more maps in general.

Something I would like to see are servers dedicated to a particular faction. So for example have a server that runs only maps featuring GB. Like how there are insurgency only servers.

Personally, no offense i think this is just patriotic talk. There are better British maps coming, and its sometime better to wait. Just enjoy the game the way it is, and the Brits will have more maps in the future.

p.s theres prob gonna be the same thread but about having too many British maps in the future.

Some of these maps might have a bit of a revival with .85 gameplay though, Qwai is the best example of this by far, people used to ****ing hate that map toward the end of .75, but people seem to rather like it again now.

Russians are still gonna have the least maps anyway either way, depsite them being all shiny and new. Besides alot of you need to look in the Community modding section, if you take a quick peek round there you'll see alot of maps are lined up for the Brits.

I like the us faction, so I dont have complaints. Like the british too. If it is 1 to 1 1 to 3 or so I dont care as long as there arent like 10 us maps for every british map.

like I always say in these topics, if you want more maps, you make it happen by making them

there is plenty of info in the community modding tut forums on how to get started etc.
