If the us army for one reason or another would need A LOT of anti tank helicopters, they have sumthing ap their sleeve. US army might not be fighting a conventional war right now and everyone is calling anything with a range over 300m outdated out of place etc., but that they are not having a good old slugfest in the 100 thousands now, does not mean there wont be total war in the future.

the flares are certainly better

You could say the same thing about the Huey gunship. On a USMC MEU, you'll always have cobra gunships. Except if they're all broken..... Yeah... That actually happened once.
