with so many clips on youtube why spend money on adverts ?
if you are watching most fps shooter vids pr will crop up in the related search, but with the ad placed on vBF2 there has been a marked increase in new players.
perhanps if the dev's were earning it would be worth an advert but since they are not and this is all FREE you can always say thank you by donating here -----> Project Reality Forums - Donation User Agreement

Every video for PR is like a commercial, why don't we just get together and make a big video like all those threads ask about? I've signed in to some of them but they never get it going.

Maybe before thinking about an expensive TV spot you can produce some youtube videos.

If they are good they will even get more attention than TV spots imo

yea it has to be online. paying for tv time is a waste of money.

well why dont the Devs make thier own engine sometime, create their own type of w/e it is they need, put it on the store shelves for money and sell it and make money then put out a commercial.

...make a game just so that we can have a PR TV commercial?! You do realise that thousands upon thousands of pounds go into making a new game engine, yes? It's not something you "just do sometime"

You say "put it on the store shelves" - what manually ?

This is why companies "sell out" to EA - advertising, international distribution deals, public relations, support - etc etc

it wouldnt be illegal, since your not actually "selling" PR, it would have to come from your pocket though. Advertising with Channel 4 (biggest british TV station) will set you back £235,687, and thats only for 1 month.

But if you do that, even though your not "really" doing anything wrong, EA will lawsuit your C grade english ***.....

A quick look around the forums would answer these questions. I'm not really sure why this thread needs to continue.

As far as a commercial, we already have ads the we run, but we have nether the cash or the....cash to produce a commercial. we have the same following as a cult and we don't cater to the masses.
