Good points.
Yes, the AG36 is breech-loaded from the side.

I know now, because it was explained to me. Just pointing that out, no real reason behind it.

Kazakhstan and Mongolia have some neat environments that the PR team could explore with. I think the original suggestion implied on using Kazakstan's terrain, not to include it as a soverign nation at war. Storyline wise perhaps the people of Kazakstan and Mongolia decided to join up or surrender to the ever expanding MEC, which in this storyline it may be safe to assume that they have imperialist aims.
Also, for you snow wanters out there this is as close as it should get. Have a map here or something, No Russia, no return of the soviet union conspricies.

ya the l85 looks awesome in those RM pictures. If only EA used their brains....
Back on topic, I was actually just thinking about having some Kazakstan maps. Could make room for lots of snow and mountains, as well as a few more temperate areas for the MEC. Sounds excellent!

It's also the wrong model; not used by UK forces on their L85s. They use the AG36.
Who says that the soldier is a Brit? And i just love how your so smart Eddie.
Anyway, i would like to see some new terrain, climbing terrain too, since most maps are wide open flat land.

I don't see why MEC with all their rusian hardware would want to piss off Rusia....Aren't they having their hands full with USA and some european heavy weights like the UK???? Or are the MEC some hyper power who can take on the world all alone???
I do not like the whole idea of the MEC in the first place, but now they are here, so I'll probably have to live with them. But I find it totally unrealistic that the MEC would move into what Rusia considers there sphere of interest and start to stir up trouble while at the same time fighting a few superpowers!
Come on, we could find interesting terreain alot of places without having to come up with something as far fetched as the MEC signing their own death penalty...

They are not alone but yes, if Russia had to wage war then they would easily get there citizens to do similar things that they did dureing the second world war.

Kazakhstan is a former Soviet republic in southerm central Asia bordering on Russia, China and the Caspian Sea. It has both semi-arid mountainous and desert terrain.
Islamic/ethnic separatist insurgencies in the former Soviet Republics sponsored by an "MEC" could make for interesting settings, like Georgia/Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh, etc. (AQ is believed or confirmed to be involved in a lot of those local conflicts). Thing is, I believe that was the setting of the original Ghost Recon.

Thats interesting Baker. Perhaps the MEC spread their influence throughout Asia. Common people of the former Soviet Republics may convert to an islamic culture in an attepmt to overthrow their government and join up with the MEC. The MEC's amount wealth and power would almost be enough to seduce the poverty strciken people of these nations.
In a sense you could have an insurgent type army, and it would make for great spec ops base maps having SEALs or SAS up against armed Insurgents scattered across eastern europe. It makes alot more sense over previous storyline/country suggestions. I would happen to no doubt think that if there was some major movement of middle-east culture going on in eastern europe, especially with the threat that the MEC presents; that U.S and U.K forces could help the former Soviet Republics suppress their revolts. This would lead to collaberation between western and eastern nations. It could also be a great way to get the war between the U.S and U.K against the MEC. For instance say the MEC were covertly supplying the insurgents with weapons, cash, intelligence and numerous other things to help their revolts. The U.S or U.K special forces find out about this and demand that MEC quit supplying the insurgents.
What do you guys think?

I dont want to fight some weak insurgent's.
Georgia, Armenia and Azerbijan should team up like the MEC have done, they are more worthy.
