You got the math alright. Force has two factors, the amount and the direction. When you fire a gun your body forms sort of spring. If the fire sequence of the gun is slow the "spring" goes back and forth thus making tearing force difficult to handle. When the sequence is fast your body spring will join the forces in same direction, which is easier to handle. Also because your body and grip of the gun forms the spring each individual can experience the force in a different way.

It's possible that a single shot in full auto has slightly more recoil due to the operator having to be quick to release his finger from the trigger, relaxing his muscles, and not being able to absorb it as well as he would if he could have taken his time releasing the trigger between shots.
This is purely theoretical though.

Since recoil is caused by the force of the explosive pushing the bullet away from the gun, shooting a single bullet, whether on single or on auto, will always produce the same results.
Also, philosophy has rarely (if ever) been properly incorporated within a suggestion for a computer game
Not quite true.
Some weapons fire auto from an open bolt to help with cooling and cook offs, and single shot from a closed bolt which is more accurate.
This doesn't effect recoil of course.

there is a diference on some weapons, if the fire form closed bold in semi and from openbolt in fullauto modus, damed i was to slow 2 with the same idea, but i am not really sure if its got an effect on the way the weapon can absorb the recoil
