I'm running all this on a Enermax 485w
So you should be more than fine with that OCZ 500w

I just built a new machine with the i7 920 CPU. The rest of the specs are in my signature. I was able to overclock the processor from 2.66GHz to 3.7GHz with some liquid cooling ; ) It runs flawlessly. I am able to run battlefield bad company 2 like a dream with everything to the max. I just installed PR and plan on playing it in a few hours with a friend and that should run like a dream too!

have you guys disabled hypertreading and/or turboboost ?
I run at 3.5 on my core i7
160*21 (turbo).
memory at triplle channel, 3200 NB frequency 2:10 7 7 7 20 59 1T (cpu-z) so it runs at the 1600 mhrz the memory was rated ( was only possible when i put memory voltage at 1.66 and QPI voltage at 1.3)
temps also go fast in the 80ies when all cores full load, idle at 45 degrees.

i7 isn't for gaming anyway and older quads are cheaper too.
That's actualy old news the i7 got hyper threading so you get 8 cores instead of 4. and even 4 cores of the i7 pwns the Core 2 Quad.
