I do not know how the structure of a BF2 mod works, but I may assume that it is possible ot complete all models and coding without having a map ready. For example some older maps have been used for the russian faction and there is only one new map. My point is that when a mod is almost done and not in a vague state of production mappers would more likely be willing to create maps for it.

ye but without a map the mod is far from complete, espically when you consider it takes around 4 to 6 months to crate a decent 2x2km map.

ehhh no, you forget most people have jobs and lives and when you mix that into something that needs 1000s of man hrs to make, caffeine can't help much.

Try mapping your self if you really want and see for yourself, but even if you where working every day all day it would still take you a good month to develop the a decent 2x2km map.

I never tried to map while drunk. Perhaps I should do that.

Gentlemen, it's like in Japan, or with a good bottle of wine, aging is good.

What do you mean with japan? What has that got to do with aging?

Listen young padawan, in Japan you get more respect the older you are, hence aging is "good".
