One round the US side lost 70 tickets in less than ten minutes. So please for the love of god, give the USMC some alternative ways to get to shore, even two boats would be fine. Also it would give Barracuda that "Invasion of Normandy" feeling that it lacks.
I hate playing as PLA, too much waiting when you have to defend usualy. I love being the attacking side.

However, its true, no good chopper pilots = instant fail.

Any armour would completely wreck this map. Boats wouldn't though.

This is still my favourite map.

Armour would change the dynamic of gaining a bridgehead, but tbh, the nearer you get to Chi Main, the less forgiving the terrain is for APCs

Ya but imagine the rape at the shore landing sites from apcs sitting off shore.

IMO, lesson 1 or 2 Hueys and add an LAV to the map.

This way, the Hueys can be used to drop off troops into the interior of the island and the LAVs can be used to attack the beachheads. But once the LAVs successfully land troops onto the beach, they are limited in operation because of the tank traps and hills on the beach. After the LAVs are destroyed though, they don't spawn again perhaps.
