since some cold war era skins were made for the US, and you using world in conflict as your inspiration, why not just go with US vs soviets?

ye I would keep it simple at first, getting a solid US vs USSR foundation and getting it out would be the best way to go.

Ok, i defineately see know, that this NATO faction would be just another Euroforce disaster, (personally i wouldnt know, i never was in to all the vanilla exp packs.) But if this mod kicks off, the firsts factions that should be done are, US and USSR. If a NATO faction does become a possibility they wil definatley consist of just one country and at the very most, maybe another country providing air support.

As for this minimod not being intergrated into the orginal PR i can see and understand that, it would just make the download bigger, with more vehicles that are just copys and make things confusing.
Although it wasnt really my intention to get it intergrated with PR, (would of been nice tho, because more people would play it then. )
Lots of these community factions will get put into PR, because they offer new vehicles etc, although i think after a while some of the community factions will have to be seperate due to there being like 10 or more of them still being made!

I also still need people helping me on this project. If any help can be given I would appreciate it.

Well it definatley look pioneering....compared to other tanks in those days, with not turret.
But where are we goin to get a model for this? Because i cant model.

And what do u think USi and EoD will say if i ask them for nearly all of these vehicles?
They are BSS tho, but isnt it kinda leaching off them, or is a mod studio allowed to do that?

Also another question did the US have ACOG back in those days? because i think the Soviets had PSO sights on their AKs similar to the one on the Dragunov.

NATO faction? Ugh, not a à-la Euro-force kind of melting pot faction I hope?
Because many languages just doesn't work in BF2, at all.

Please, just make it US vs USSR first, then develop on other factions afterwards.

roger that will do, this will make combat a bit different from what it is in PR. Tanks for wideopen spaces, infantry for ubrban and forested enviroments.

Would love to see this and also Vietnan era minimods with PR gameplay.

As Danke said set up alist of what shoudl be done, what can you borrow what is it in PR already and so on.

Sweet, its good tha i got all this support now i gotta start pulling weight in the bargain.
I gotta get a plan sorted out and recruit some skinners and maybe modelers.

I would definitely help model a few things if I have spare time. Cold War is one of my favorite Eras, This would be an awesome Community mod maybe have like the Invasion of Berlin and such.

Indeed thats why im thinking of making the NATO faction, primarity based of the west German army. Although the NATO/German factions will come after the US and USSR Factions have been made, sorry. The US and USSR factions will concentrate on the invasion of America.
While a NATO(West German with european aircraft) and Soviet theatre will be made later in Europe. Maybe with (East Germans).

We also need a name for this mod.
Any ideas? I was thinking Project 1989, or something with 1980s in it.
