Re: Discover a new way to play Insurgency mode
One of the unintended side effects of running away from enemy infantry is that since they did not kill you, they cannot expect to continue on their way without ambush. If you run fair distance you can keep them on their toes as they have to move slow and watch for surprises. If they kill you, they usually just move on their merry way.

1) Don't die.
2) They don't find caches.
3) Time runs out.

Re: Discover a new way to play Insurgency mode
as insurgent, its fun to grab a sapper kit and do ALOT of flanking. Most people get tunnel vision pretty quickly and don't do 360 degree checks. If I see an enemy squad I will either try to flank them and put one or two shots on them from a bush or something where they cant see me, or I will wait for them to pass me and blow em up with something.
Firing with the sapper rifle was hard for me to learn, but if you have patience (and the enemy doesn't know where you are) then you can do alot of damage to infantry. Of course any head on confrontation will lead to your demise quite quickly

ok dudes, what all this dont die crapola? The battle has beginnning middle and end just like a strory.
beginning, stay hidden mine the roads to allow your team escape routes from cache to cacheso ure not just cut off for the us military machine to gobble you up like a bate ball
middle, CQB fight god damn it usa moves forwatrd generally like an arrow head, anticipate the fron line try to make it in alley ways rather than lettin them hold open ground,
use anti air far awy from caches!
Defend the cache like hell so a large force is in the area, Revenge IED the entire area when it goes down boom then move in and kill alll the medics.
End Game, who cares about intel anymore take the fight to them push forward away from the undiscovered caches and defend the "found caches" use the techs and bikes to go out and harass them all the way.
this i believe is the way i see the battle. p.s. may i say FIX THE CIVI insurgents need a hook!!!!

Stand the opposition. You know what's real funny? On Al B you can blow the bridges after the armor crosses (or both sides when they're on the middle) and now they can't leave. Of course some idiot always ruins it by RPGing their armor to death rather than leaving them stranded without any way of being resupplied.

IED diamonds, 4 IED's in a diamond pattern nobody gets out alive! works great in intersections.
i find it has worked with teams joining up and having about 2-4 sections positioned at cardinal points and keeping as much contact as possible about 50-100m (depending on obstructions)from the cashe. that way you avoid damaging the cashe or drawing too much attention to it,( and its not to far away for resupply). it also means any incursion into the cashe zone can be put down by friendlies positioned on the other sides of the cashe zone, that way using Taliban like firebox techniques you can absorb as many enemy as possible. big flaw to this is it takes a lot of team work and coordination and is not very effective with multiple known cashes , but it takes very little time to execute initially. and every minute the Bluefor spend out of contact means more static defenses. you essentially will lose any known cashe given time but the cost will always be great. it is also supposed to cut down on losses and delay intelligence points.
this technique was explained to me by some very serious Australian players on the gaming SA servers, funnily enough several of them turned out to be currently serving ADF members.
its not for every one and might not be a NEW way to play InsM but its been a lot of fun for me.

Sounded good until this part:
And it comes down to:
I'd also guess this includes the Taliban faction with an exception of Korengal where it's so easy to push the entire US Army team back into Camp Murphy and continuously slaughter them while they run uphill.

So basically what most are hinting at is 'don't bother defending the caches because you'll die and lose the round either way'. So if the point then is that Insurgents should always lose, why the f*ck does anyone even bother with Insurgency?Human_001 wrote: 4.Don't bother Protecting Cache.
And it comes down to:
Except the round timer is 4 hours. Otherwise I'd be glad to "win" as Insurgent by sitting AFK at the mosque or the main base while the BLUFOR goes apeshit and tries to find a way to kill everyone probably by spamming APC fire, rockets, grenades and area attacks at a small little backyard full of Insurgents.lucky14 wrote:1) Don't die.
