Back on the subject of this post...

Rocks should not be able to kill in Project reality - I don't believe a soldier, wearing full combat armour, would start bleeding out if a guy started throwing pebbles at him. It's unrealistic... (Maybe if 40 guys were doing it... but thats a different matter ;-) )

Perhaps the 'suppression' effects could just be implemented instead of actual damage? If it's possible. This way the Civi's rock throwing antics would be more of an annoyance than actual threat. Also the suppression effect would make it harder for the unit trying to capture the Civillian.

Tbh though, i never really found the Civi class that usefull or nessecary. Generally speaking you can't use them for ambushes because it's just too over used and people have become wise to it, the respawn times are ridiculous, noone ever plays as them therefore there are no medics for ins. and you always get the s*** shot out of you from long distance because BLUFOR can't tell you're a civillian.

Just my thoughts. :? ??:

Im pretty sure thats not a pebble...thats more like a 3x3 inch rock...but I do agree, it shouldnt be able to kill

I am fairly sure you can use the shotgun to take down a civi without being penalized if I am correct.

not to mention the ladder debarkle too.

i think civi is a great class, if im not going rambo with the AK then im playing civi, nothing beats two civis standing on a roof in front of a PKM, being meatshields :-) , then if one goes down, the other civi revives him. we did this on karbala and for about 30 minutes they got absolutely no cache intel at all

perhaps rubber bullets should be implemented. i dunno how this would be done, but make them knock out the civi somehow

Depends, if someone is throwing a rock at you from down the street with little chance of hitting you that is one thing, but if there is like 5 people smashing someone with rocks up close of course they are gonna get shot.

Maybe you can put in a special bullet for the guns called rubber shells. You know how you can choose between regular shotgun shells and breaching ones. Just add a additional option aimed at being able to kill civies without being punished for it.

As far as I am aware, this is supposed to be in-game but there have been issues getting it to work, hence a lock.
