Once you go Project Reality, you don't go back. I can never go back to vBF2 because it just seems so shitty. I get tierd of all the base raping, ridiculous game-play, etc.

I tried going Anti-tank and I gave up so fast. I can't believe how ridiculous the AT kits are in vBF2. The only thing I ever have fun doing in vBF2 is flying the blackhhawk and transporting troops. Also with it I can capture control points by just hovering over them. I don't even understand anymore my previous fasination with the game.

vBF2 is a spamfest in every way: grenades, medics, spawning, theres people running everywhere, the flags are a mess, etc... If you enjoy the game that is good, I just much prefer PR =D

However, the first time I spawned in on a drop-pod in BF2142 I squealed for joy - made me think of Starship Troopers. (book)

I play vanilla when I either feel like sniping and not failing miserably (cuz I'm a shit shot), or when I'm in an ADD pleasure me with kills and pointz NAOW mood. If I want a good, challenging, gratifying, amazing and absolutely flawless gaming experience, I play PR

Ok I confess I just played the demo. And didn't really like it.
Anyway BF2's competitive community has outlasted 2142's really, I still like it however much I play PR.

I think there are plenty of people who go back, just the people who are inclined to play PR don't go for the arcadiness of BF2. It's a weird game to build a reality mod on top of, but I guess it works.

I recently returned to BF2 for a brief period of time. The only purpose in doing so was to just level up my rank to 1st Lieutenant. That involved like... 36 rounds of non-stop Karkand and a bottle of aspirin. As you can see, I had a very small amount of work to do in order to level to the next rank. Now that's done, I haven't any remaining reasons to go back.
