The sight rail obviously is designed to sight many different systems on it. A few examples are provided at that link. Those are mostly to assist in night targeting.
I am attempting to find a few photos of an ACOG sight mounted on it. A few US marines have stated that they used those optics over the backup sights currently used in PR. (Thats always bugged me to no end. Why is every US soldier/British using -backup- sights?!?!)
Granted pictures of it are rather elusive and I assume the current PR military advisers would know a crapton more about it then I. So I suppose you'd have already thought that one over.
