I think the map is fun, it might need some adjustments though, I agree on the stalemate suggestion someone did. It doesnt really define as jungle to me though because its more full of grass then being a jungle... It feels more like a layed out garden.
The concept is good, the map just needs some work. This is more what I understand when you say jungle:
The map should cut down on the grass and put in other stuff like branches, broken trees, other types of ground stuff.

Sure, it is posible to build a "real looking" jungle, but the hardware from the players give the limitation what is real posible.
In my humble opinion the map jungle fever need a "cosmetic surgery", some little tweaks and minor changes...
i know jungle is hard to create... i know from waht i talk, i create a map called "Mao Valley", so far i know the PR team will it put in a later release...
but here -
>> click me to get Mao Valley<<, so you can test the map
only infantry with UAV & support box, no ari or scans, no vehicles

the only what i can say, take a look into the undergrowth.cfg to become a look inside the undergrowth..
but i think one of the reasons are the "small" areas between the mountains and hills, so the engine have not to render "great gras planes"...

maybe the engine only needs to calculate one and just copies it for the others. I dunno how the engine works but for example static mesh models in ue2 engine are only rendered onces and then duplicated so you can have thousand of them in a map without lag
I'm not saying you should recreate a real jungle because it would probably be to much fps hit but map needs some tweaking
