Fingers crossed.

Juanxz welcome to the forums m8. My advice is to read the manual thoroughly, practice with some of the kits on a training server and you will start to get the hang of it. Get yourself a microphone if you intend to stick with it, I guarantee it will be worth it. Just one hell of a learning curve

one thing to remember when identifying enemies and teammates is whenever someone picks up the opposite sides kit, their uniform changes to reflect it.

Example: Marine picks up Insurgent kit because they ran out of ammo, they might have a red rag on their head. Watch out this can be really annoying.

Does anyone know if this will be changed somehow?

Antonious_Bloc wrote:Oh, and don't try to take any helicopters or especially jets until you've practiced with them for an extended period of time in training mode and can land them consistently. They're a lot different then regular BF2's aircraft, they cost tickets when destroyed, and more than that they take 20 minutes to spawn. So if you crash a jet on take off or landing you'll waste tickets and really hurt your team, and that's not a good way to get people to like you
Don't worry I won't even try to fly one unless I'm in training. I prefer to stick with land.
Thanks again you all for the welcomes.

Check your bearing, the person you're looking at is South of you. (more or less)
Now check your map, are there any friendly dots to your south?
If yes: How far away are they, could it be the person you saw?
If no: Enemy, open fire?
If you think you can hit from the distance, elevation and target movement. Yes.
If you don't think you can hit. No, you have the advantage of knowing where he is, move around to flank him.

Also to consider when trying to kill an enemy, did your Squad Leader authorize firing your weapon?
The best squad leaders in the game keep their squad in check with regulations and rules, you don't do anything without running it by your SL first.
So use your microphone to call out your contact, ex. "Enemy foot-mobile spotted south, One-Seven-Five degrees, moving east."
Then wait for SL to give you an order, like: "Copy that, do not engage." or "You're clear to engage."
Then you can shoot. If your SL doesn't give you any order you can always request it yourself by asking, "Requesting weapons free." or "Requesting permission to engage."

This happened to me also, but it was when I was in an empty server practicing on landing, I crashed and I see 6999 seconds

Ok...so can anyone explain all of the icons on the score list? A lot of icons which don't make sense to me.

To play this game you must first print the manual and read it on the bog.

Their meaning is the same as vBF2's, only the icons have changed:

If I remember correctly from left to right:
Your score, Your teamwork Score, Number of kills, Number of deaths, Ping.

Juanxz the way to excel with points has allot less to do with kills and and a lot more with destroying assets and teamwork.

For example a player with 40 kills might have a total of 50 over all points while another player with 5 Kills might have 400 points. This happens because we have put more reward into other parts of the game.

A kill is great but controlling an area is more important. I'm glad the community has come in on this thread and tried to help a new player. Those with helpful words have my thanks. You are what PR is about.

That's right, the only thing I use the points for is to determine if the round is going to end in a few minutes or not before I join a server(but that doesn't work 100%).

Yes teamwork and destroying assets will get you more score. I once ended a round in Battlefield 2 and Battlefield heroes with no kills but a lot of points from flags and other stuff.

Just last night i finshed a round on the T&T server in third place with only two kills but i guess being medic seems to give lots of points.
But I coulndn't care less about points anyway .... after all the points whores in VBF putting jeeps into the water and repairing it constantly I am a bit anti points thus I really appreciate the PR no points or ranking system!
