Anyone tired of waiting for Dice BF2 1.5 ?

IMO 1.5 will never be released. 1.5 devs are making new bugs with every beta, and then they are trying to fix them... so wtf?

Yes you are right. I'm also waiting for FH2 to become a more complete mod. It seems to be taking for ever , though they do produce really excellent models and statics etc.

Of course the majority of us PR players want 0.86 released now but lets take a step back and think about a positive.

With this extra time on their hands, the PR Dev Team has the oppitunity to add some tweaks and pieces to the 0.86 patch. ie More refined animations, improved limited kits code, etc. Aswell as further testing the builds to stomp out any bugs or gameplay faults.

Yeah that is a plus. And PR never fails to please , they really do just keep getting better over time. The other thing I appreciate about the PR dev team is that they actually listen to the players suggestions.

Yea, at least they are taking their time over it, unless it is just sitting under other junk like take the garbage out or eat a potato. So as long as this time is being put toward the patch, I am happy.

I do recall reading somewhere that it is only around 3-4 people working on the patch, and its not their main job by any means. People can whine and ***** all they want that EA/DICE sucks. However, its not economically viable to keep trying to support old games with large amounts of members of the team, in the time you are spending to keep a pretty small community happy of an old game, you could be putting the team straight into the next development cycle of a new game.
People can say EA only cares about money etc etc, well they should, its how they are starting to dominate the market and makes them a successful company.

I'm sure a strong minority of pr players still enjoy vanilla BF2, and will be getting the 1.5 patch when it comes. But it also brings a few updates that pr could use (Deviation being reset when proning, for instance). Hopefully they might add bf2142 stabilization, but that's got a slimmer chance than them updating servers to 128 players, especially at this point in the development.

and i say ea because how many developers have the financial backing like them ... but possibly a small publishing company will gamble with a small developer and who knows, us pc gamers might get a very great new game lol... time will tell
