Yeah it was a good laugh.

Prior to the launch, I will probably put a few more skirmish maps on over the weekend if anyone is around. I should be in the Reality Teamwork Mumble channel most of the weekend.

And then remember the launch on Sunday guys!!!!

Just curious, but how is this any more of a 'mumble server' than any other server with an official mumble PR channel?

The server will be whitelisted to mumbler's only in the future. More info will probably be provided by Space.

As smuke said, the plan is to eventually have a whitelist on the server, so that you can join the server, and know you'll find good teamwork, and other people using mumble.

It will take a while for the server to become established, so the whitelist wont be used for quite some time, but in the mean time, non mumblers will be told about the system, and encouraged to use it

Ive just now been playing with someone on a skirmish map, and explaining to them about mumble, so hopefully it will also help other servers have more mumble users too.

I understand that the plan is to have the server closed so only your paying community members can join... but i still don't understand how that makes it a mumble server?

Will it be a server rule to be on mumble?.. and if not an admin will kick you?

Mumble is being built into PR presently, so this seems a little odd.

The server is totally free, so theres no paying members - I dont know who told you that it was for paying members only.

Eventually it will be a server rule to be on Mumble - but first the server needs to get established, to promote mumble. Non-Mumblers will be encourged to use it - but they wont be kicked unless the server is full of Mumble users already.

Mumble is quite along way off being built into PR as standard, and it may never happen.

Oh ok.. i thought it was for subscribers only? Maybe your plans have changed or mis understood you.

How's it going to be funded? as not much is free these days?

As mentioned on the first page, Rescue Rangers Clan are very kindly donating the Server on their box. Their website is here : RR Clan and they're a great bunch of guys - without them its unlikely this would have got off the ground.

The donations are to cover the small cost of running the website, and anything left over I will pass onto the RR guys.

RT isn't a clan server, so no-one has special privileges, and everything is decided by the members of the Reality teamwork Forum.

This is the fixed map list on the server, but yeah it will be changed if people want different maps.



A few of us will be joining the server early, so feel free to join us earlier than the start time

-With that maplist you'll have the same team play as Insurgent three times in a row. I'd say throw in Barracuda 64 after Assault on Mestia and Ghost Train 64 after Jabal(Going by the Reality Teamwork poll here).
