Textures were not really changed, you must have done something with your settings.

Who's fault is that? People should learn not to dump 'm or bring them back. When I lead a squad on Brit side I usually make one gathering transport run. Bring them back to base so we can get out of it. Or construct a firebase somewhere close and defend it.
Rudd, I agree with you there. Both sides had fun with it. Altough it was also abused heavily. JollyRoger once crushed an RPG gunner with it. Moving in to him slowly, letting him fire at the thang, an than crush him. Stuff like that also happened with the chopper. On maps as barracuda or muttrah it seems to happen less since they are more of an important asset. While on a map as basrah its more of a fun toy that can be used for transport.
And WhiteRock: I certainly didnt find it boring. I did it a few times. Even 2 versions back in a troop transport bruck. Driving back and forth. Its almost the same as flying a chopper. The fun thing for me is helping my team in a none-offensive way. Just driving back and forth playing taxi

Good Points
4.SAW gun with scope, love it! cleans up squads no problem
Bad Points
3. Insurgents Weapons are stupidly inaccurate, You might aswell take the RPG and not use it on PR no more, I only want to be a insurgent now just as a civilian.
Totaly agree about Bad point number 3. Yesterday a teammate could not hit a static truck from 20 meters with RPG. It was the third time that he finaly managed to hit it, to our surprise. And we are talking about a guy that ruled with RPGs.. About other insurgent weapons too. Shotgun seems unusable, kalashnikovs also. You would think that all those weapons are made by children to play with, when in RL its just the opposite.
About good point number 4, Ive never seen in RL someone with attached scope to a heavy machine gun? I dont know if its the scope or the power of machine gun, but it seems to cut through the walls easily. Laying on the floor behind the cover doesnt seem to have any effect as to staying alive when this machine gun starts to suppress.
I know that game can not be compared to RL but this modification for me is going away from "reality". Whats next? Insurgents can just have rocks to throw at enemy?

wut? AK-74 is the same as before, AK-47 was nerfed a little, but still rocks in CQB, AK-74U and shotgun were nerfed because in 0.85 they were OMGWTFBBQ pwning machine, better than both ak-47 and ak-74
i personally think if devs didnt post about reducing ak-47 accuracy nobody would notice it

Monnig also brought out an M240 in 7.62 NATO and an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) in 5.56mm, both fitted with ACOG scopes. The heavier recoiling M240 machine gun was fitted with a TA11 ACOG, primarily for the fact that it has longer eye relief.
Shooting the M240 machine gun from the prone position and using the donut aiming point, it was easy to envelop our distant targets in an effective cone of fire. The SAW has a much higher cyclic rate than the M240 but was just as controllable.

Last year I did a 6 month tour in Iraq. Used a ACOG Reflex on both my m249 SAW and M-4. Worked much better. The amber dot was easier to pick up in dark or really bright scenarios. Also, NO BATTERIES!! I can also say that my weapons got tossed around and banged up on things alot, and would then after go test fire again and the ACOG was always still right on. Very rugged. Go for about $350 at last count. Well worth the money. More simple, reliable and better visability than the Aimpoint.

the specs[on the m249 saw-para] are pretty much the same for any other saw. I carry one but it has the M4 buttstock and a 13.75" barrel. The only downside is that the ACOG is calibrated for a 20" M16A4, and doesn't compensate correctly with my SAW's barrel

m249 saw-para - Marine Corps Community for USMC Marine Veterans
yup, i got an elcan on my saw but replaced it with an eotech. The gunner in the other team uses an ACOG. The new saws with m4-style stocks, AN/PEQ-15's, and rails is slowly circulating around the army. Most likely the same with the marines.

USMC M249 SAWs - Military Photos
The RCO’s success in combat prompted the Corps to seek the SDO, Arthaud said. While it also falls in Trijicon’s ACOG family, the SDO varies from the RCO. First, it is equipped with 3½-times magnification, rather than the four-times magnification standard on the RCO. It also has slightly longer eye relief than the RCO, which will provide SAW gunners with protection from the weapon’s larger recoil.
3.5 said to be being ordered not 4x, but thats "being ordered"

Seriously if u get crushed by a chopper in PR, you werent paying attention. It is not hard to dodge the choppers, since they won't risk clipping the ground and facepalming to get you.

My point was if APCs aren´t being used properly people should learn, but if it is a heli it should get removed?
Was that the actual reason btw?

I'd !w then !k the pilot if he didn't stop doing it.
if the lynx was on a layer of Basrah, that would mean it could be chosen for admined servers, and left alone on badly admined/unadmined servers.
and if a server is badly admined or unadmined you don't want to be there regardless of who is doing what with lynxes

I think this mod, the Project reality mod, reaches new heights of teamplay for every day i play it.
I play so much more tactical and cooperative with other players now, and its so much fun running into mumbelers, cause they just automatically follow with you, or stay near you.
When you have a team with LMGs, and the work, suppressive fire works, so does flanking, i did this yesterday. Twas epic!
Listening to the saw, chewing of the lims of Middle Eastern Coalition men! OMG! Sweet!
Taking cover from rockets hurling into our positions.
And if you dont watch your back, or take appropriat precasion. You get shot! Like that! Bang your dead, and if you dont have the "patience" to play this mod, id rather have you off the server.

I have to disagree that the civi's have been given justice, even with the hands up anim, you can only go so far. The other day I ran from 4 Brits and hooked onto a rooftop, where I crouched up and down and taunted them by crouching, down hands up and bending away so I was like shoving my *** in their face, none of them had speciailist and because the punishment is next-to-nothing for killing civi's, they just shot me and got on with real fighting, I say civi's should also get molotovs.
The hands up animation is nice, but it only goes so far.

sounds like your dumb a$$ got just what it needed you just stated you taunted players that had guns thats stupid next time just keep running from them and you won't end up dead.
**** if you taunted them you could have a green shirt hands up holding a cat with a 1 round ban punishment and they most likly still kill your stupid A#$

So, IRL US/GB etc. troops kill innocent civilians just because they are on a roof looking and waving at them?
Oh, and... Stop offending others R.J. Travis.

The reason I was actually waving is because they didn't catch me and I was recording on Fraps and wanted to piss them off, I normally use the civi class to lead squads into ambushes, but on this round all squads were locked or useless, considering there is minimal teamwork on Insurgency from experience.
A great way to ambush if anyone wants tips is find a high wall and at one side that is covered have all your guys lying crouched down with AK's, but concealed in bushes or behind trees, not perfect but enough to not be seen at a glance. Then a civi goes over the other side of the wall, hands up, the other team sees him and thinks "Hmm! More points!" and they dash over, this is when the civi throws a hook over the wall that his team are on the other side.
He climbs over, followed by the other team, as soon as he gets over the wall, he lies down, and sure enough, the enemy should follow after him over the wall, where he will be gunned down.
The reason for taking cover is in case he gets chased by multiple enemies, in case one enemy is a few paces ahead of the others, and he climbs the wall he won't immediately see the ambush squad, but due to them being informed of extra troops they will hold fire until they are all over, when the LMG's brap brap brap and mow them down, at which point it is advisable to go and retrieve kits, escort the civi to another location with the similar tactic, and start over.
I have done many others, like tunnels and crawling spaces etc but the wall is a pretty simple but fool-proof idea. It is achievable on all maps as suprisingly all maps have walls at some point, but it's a good way to get quick kills and utilize the advantage the insurgents weapons ( eg: AK ) have at close range over M4's or other weapons.

Hey i try to do so to, I'm just speaking from experiences of being left behind or seeing these things happen.
I don't think that making it a required to for a team to achieve victory will not gonna make the individual do that. Choppers alleviate some of the problems with big maps and no solo transporting. On some maps the distance is justified for most peapole to drive back to pick squads up, on others it's not and not everyone is gonna drive back to pickup 1-3 guys. Imagine Kashan without t-choppers for example.
And thanks, hope you die early and lonely too.
