Hi, Just curious what the plans are for mumble. ie. Is a new server coming soon or are plans not yet made?

In a hilarious timing faux pas - we just got the half dozen or so clan guys setup on mumble last night for a round and about 10 min. in the server went down.

Mumble is great! I tested it last night and was so impressed, it is great for getting picked up by an APC, and you are able to tell them when to stop and they ACTUALLY do it, also for squads communicating between each other with tactics, finding medics, asking for help, the list goes on...

any ideas when this will be back up? I was kinda disappointed when I saw it had went down but I guess it's for the best, I can't wait to get back on and use Mumble again, it really improves gameplay.

I know SXTS has just asked, but would it be at all possible to get a very rough idea of when the new server is likely to be up?

I played for a couple of hours last night without Mumble, and it felt like a major part of the game had been removed

You are all going to have to download a new client as well ... the 0.5 beta PR mumble ... or you will be unable to connect to the server. We are now forcing the settings we have hardcoded to ensure a fair game for all.

Oh man This is going to turn into a suspenceful realease. A new mumble version. It's like waiting for a patch all over again.

Will it be autoswitch? And stuff like that?

No lol ... but the facility is there for that to be implemented.

maybe not best thread to ask\suggest, but can you take a look at "minimum distance" setting and increase to 2-3m?? because i personally experience hard times hearing somebody to while in APC. Its ok when you stay still, but once it start moving its like your gunner 50m away from you

oh, yeah - that would be awesome. But as mumble grows in popularity is it really going to be viable to host all mumbles users on all pr servers on a single mumble server? That could end up being hundreds of people?

Regards minimum distance setting ... interesting ... mmm , I'll think on that one and do some testing if I have time before the new server is sorted.

Confirmed, Bloom is at max for moi and editable.
