Long live the USMC Slug Team! Slowest, most loved chopper in the fleet!

Isn't the Osprey being redone due to safety issues (it was horrible unstable when hovering)?PvtJackson wrote:The Huey has gotten an overhaul recently. My father has worked for Bell for about 37 years now, and was on a project that overhauled them for the Corp. Another project he was on for Corp, the V22 Osprey, would be another fun bird to fly.
Thank you sir. You got it absolutely right. (and it's "he" only'[R-DEV wrote:Happy']Look at the poll. Other (name it) is one of the options. He/She was naming theirs.
Yeah something to that effect. They've been working on that thing for about thirty years now, and there are some out there with the Marines and USN. If this game (BF2) is taking place in the not-so-distant future, it might be nice to have a new helo like that in it. Especially if the Marines are the only ones getting it for combat.'[R-DEV wrote:Happy']Isn't the Osprey being redone due to safety issues (it was horrible unstable when hovering)?
They are finishing their final eval on the Bataan right now; the first operational squadron is due to stand up this Summer. The Thunderchickens! No shit, that's the name of the squadron.PvtJackson wrote:Yeah something to that effect. Ahem... Boeing Vertol 107.Top _Cat the great wrote:I predicted that comment. But chinook is a far more interesting design, there nothing like it that looks newer in UK or US hanger.
And it is generally cool, no one will deny that!!!!!!!!
It also carries quite alot of cargo, i dont know many that can carry as much and are so very old and COOL!
Aren't they working on increasing the capacity for choppers?'[R-CON wrote:NikovK']Vehicles can only carry 6 people at this time, a Chinook would be awfully lonely.
To each his own. Personally I prefer the look of the Vertol 107. I think it looks tons cooler than the CH47. Plus with the current problem of the number of seats available in game, the smaller Vertol might be a more logical choice.Top _Cat the great wrote:I am perfectly aware of the CH-46 Sea Knight, it just does not look half as nice. And the brits dont touch it for that simple, plain reason - it aint cool enough for us.
doesnt some of them look familiar?Dark Ewok wrote:MI24. S-80, KA-27 and Vertol 107.
